Nice! 😎 👍 👊 I recently received the Dessert PreRunner, which is the same car with different body. I got 17mph with the stock system. Upgraded it to a brushed system, got 25mph on 2S & 33mph on 3S with the stock gearing (9T pinion/61T spur). Changed the gearing to 17T pinion/50T spur & pushed 42mph at 62% throttle. I need to modify the suspension next cuz at 42mph the front end starts to get squirmy lol. I did also upgrade the servo to a savox high torque servo & replaced the chassis with a 3mm thick wide carbon fiber chassis & foam tires. I'm hoping to get ~70-80mph with this guy 😁
Your gearing is wrong for brushless if you kept the same pinion (14) pinion. With 14 pinion and a say 5400kv or 6kv it should run well into the 40 45 mph range. Best upgrade for the latrax is a better radio because the stock one the steering cant be turned down and its way to sensitive.
Idk why ppl dont make crazy numbers on these I had a mini losi t 2.0 and ppl would make them crazy fast sold it cause I didnt know how to work on them now I regret selling it lol was my 1st RC
Oh wow! Luckily I didn’t have that problem. Now I actually transferred that brushless into my losi mini T 2.0 and put the stock latrax motor back. It’s boring again lol
Pure junk. Stay away. The steering is horrendous. I never seen loose front end components like this on any rc car. I had wal mart stuff that i purchased for my kids that handled better. Im hauling this turd back to the hobby shop. I doubt i will get any money back.

The gtr oil filled shocks are probably the best handling upgrade you can do to the rally. And give it a lil bit of toe out on the front.
bikemike2777 sweet! Good to know 👍🏼
You should get the bearings for the La Trax.
My Teton literally fell apart with the brushed motor. Maybe I should look at this little guy
I pulled 29 mph on 2S, all stock. Squirrelly little buggers, with some extra speed.
Brushed or brushless motor? I’m wanting to slap a 1400mah 3s in mine but idk if the brushed motor can handle that much power
@@wakefield6398 I used some cheap GoolRC brushless combos. One was 4500kv and another 4800kv. They are very similar. Less than $40 on Amazon.

What gearing do you think I should use for my latrax teton I’m mainly just gonna be bashing around with it
Can i ask how did you fixed the wheel wobble😊
Just keep the power down and better tires like foams. It’s mostly traction because of how light the car is for its power
Sick build.
Great video and nice speed run Thank You

Awesome cars these
How much Kv is this motor mi friend? 4000kv
I run 3s on brushless and the dogbone and front diff needed to be upgraded

Since it's boring again If you like drifting or wanna try it you can wrap the tires with electrical tape makes it a good drift car
Thomas Thompson I just bought a 3s 2200mah please tell me how you got yours to fit mine it to long by millimeters 😞
I cut the chassis the lip that runs down the side and used high strength velcro for the batt it hangs over a little but it doesn't seem to matter
My Google smart hub picks up on when you say "got that glue gun". Did you give this away when you hit 1,000 subs?
Hi, witch size and model 2s battery ?
Did you have to swap in metal diff gears? Or did the stocks plastics hold up?
Wicked cool video btw!
Thanks bro! Nope I didn’t switch the gears up. They held up well. I don’t run it much though
Sweet! I asked I
am thinking about going brushless with my rally.
KGRC007 btw I used a scale speed calculator, 32 is a scale speed of 135, very 👍
Where can i order the brushless motor esc & battery?
I got it off eBay. I searched 1/18 brushless motor
How many KV the motor?
It was 4000 something
KGRC 007 Thank You! Will look it up now
I tried that it dont work. Burns up the tires.
Links???
is your driveshaft rubbing on battery?
Nope. Not at all
Ok cool. I know the space there is super close. Wish it had a tunnel over it
Yes it is
lol that thing is fast
Yeah lol out of control fast!
Sounds like your mesh is to tight
