- I pulled the previous video I did on this update to version 3.2.3 of Audacity. I explain why in this redo. I also show you how to restore the Cut/Copy/Paste toolbar that's back in 3.2.3. While it's not new in 3.2.3, I show you how to restore the Device Toolbar and how to remove the Audio Setup and Share Audio buttons.

Thanks for a great video. A follow up question: is there any way to disable Quick-Play in 3.2.3? I know a lot of people find it very useful, but for me it's just plain annoying, and I'd like to turn it off, but it seems there is no longer a way. (It used to be clicking in the timeline provided a menu option). Thanks for any help.
Unfortunately that option no longer exists. But clicking in the audio instead of the timeline puts the playhead at a that location.
does anyone know how to restore lost recordings in the new audacity (if audacity does not prompt me to restore)? I used to restore my recordings by group through the temp .au files, but now Audacity does not create temporary .au files anymore

Mike, for some reason, when I upgraded my Audacity, my preset Amplify settings stop functioning and Audacity will not save my new preset the way I am asking it ...any thoughts?

Hello Sir. Im a newbee audacity user. im recording a song with background music on other track. Whenever i play the voice recording, i can hear the background music. Hope you can help me to resolve this issue. Im using a Behringer Xenyx QX1202 usb analog mixer and AT2020 condenser microphone. Is there any particular settings to make this voice recording on separate track with no music playing together while muted the track for karaoke music. Thanks in advance and more power to you. I enjoy watching your video tutorial.

When I installed 3.2.3, the Magnifying glass button and a few others are squashed…how do you expand?
I’ve never tried that. I don’t know if it can be done.
Does anyone know how to restore track height back to default after they've been changed?
Look at the options under View > Track Size.
@@AudacityTraining, thank you for responding. Well there are options to shrink to fit, and to expand/contract, but there is no option for return to default size. Seems odd.
How do u make an asio audacity build for Windows? Its so complicated and the existing RUclips video is confusing and outdated.

I am trying to Repeat my audio track. Not looping, I do not want it looped. Your drop down has more choices than mine, and I am on a Mac. Did you find a Repeat option on your 3.2.3?
If there is, I've never used it.

Just grab the section of audio you want to move and drag it to the new location. Grab it in the top light gray bar at the top of the audio.

I make full soundtracks of songs with my keyboard on Audacity :-)
