@@f.m.e.305 We all thank Allah for that.
It's confirmation of just how sick this raptor was. If he had any strength left, he'd be lethal, tearing up her hands, and unapproachable. He had given up.

Having rescued one of these wonderful birds who had an injured wing that coat was not to keep it warm it was to keep it from killing the people trying to help they are POWERFUL.
That's what I was thinking too. In case it started thrashing around, it is a wild animal after all. It was confused and wouldn't know if all the people were going to hurt him or not. I'm glad everyone and the eagle were ok :-)
@@Pixie桜 Yes she was released 4 months later, the sucky part was riding in the back of an open HumVee the 37 miles to the Raptor rescue north of Denver. Rode in the back so her mate could follow. Will admit it had to be a pretty patriotic look, bunch of military (army/navy-me) guys in a Humvee with a bald Eagle being held by a Native American guy in uniform(me). Did get a bunch of honks and waves on the way.
To be honest it held me more than I held it, they did give me one of her feathers that fell out when they cast her broken wing.
@@VadulTharys I think it would have ben illegal for them to give that feather to anyone BUT you. I know it's illegal to be in possession of hawk or eagle feathers for some reason, but being Native American probably is an exception bc of their use of raptor feathers in ceremonial dress...good for you, man. thanks for your service too. - Former US Marine
I thought so. I did the same thing with an injured wild duck. I was scared she would try to fly away or fight while I was moving her from the road to side walk.

We also need humans to help each other like that… so many humans would have driven around another human in despair until someone finally hit him / her…
This woman is AMAZING!
Why she just moved it away. Didn't save it
@@David-ol6zjshe moved it out of the road so it wouldn't get hit again. She took the time out of her life unlike everyone else in their cars waiting impatiently, honking the horn, to get it out of the road to safety and I bet she also took her own time to find a rescue that could get it help! It's a bald eagle, they are protected and it is actually illegal to touch them, so it has to be a rescue that is approved by the government to do this work! They aren't easy to find so it probably took more than a minute or two. More like a minimum of an hour and possibly several hours. Missed work potentially too. So, yes, she is a hero!
