Its moravian song from Lanžhot. The story is about Forman Jan. He is killed by a huge tree called mája, that is used as a sign that there is a feast in the town. The tree comes from a forrest named Čárský háj because the trees here are big as a church tower. When the other guys find his corpse under the tree, they jump to help but he is already dead. Colorfully decorated horses, that should bring mája to lanžhot and start the feast are now carrying a dead body... its a silent moment. Nobody is singing like they would normaly do. The special bell, that is suposed to ring when someone dies now rings... the soul of Jan is comming to heaven. On the road to Čárský háj are pouple singing sad song and crying... as in the song his last words were: "Oh little bird... go to my love... sing her the song about my dissaster. Stroke her on her white cheek with your feathers... our song that we sang together was sang for the last time". This is the real story of Forman Jan. It is truly heartbreaking when you her it. Every time when i hear it there are shivers running down my spine...
