For more color series, you could do a warm tone day, cool tone, rainbow, skin tones, black/white/gray, neons, pastels, sparkle yarn.
Or every tone that Hobbii makes in Cotton 8/4(though you'd have to hold double). They have 100 shades.
Or specifically a pastel colours series

"I'm making an octopus" was the left field response I needed to make me chuckle after Cesar's story. I would have taken it the same way he did, as in "Are you saying I'm dirty, unkempt, or smell bad? That I look stereotypically homeless?" Having a cowlick is not where I would have gone from that question.
I could see a monthly Octopus-a-day series in October being fun.

thing that you can make with red yarn: ladybug, hearts (maybe a real heart for halloween), scarfs, beanies, jackets, tops, plushies outifts, straberry, straberry blanket, parrots, tomatoes, octopus...and a bunch of more stuff. Red has infinite options like any other color and i think red is underrated because i love it and i cannot live without it :) (hope i helped someone find inspiration for they'r next projects)

I think it would be cool to see aesthetics-themed videos. Cottagecore, Vaporwave, Light/Dark Academia, Fairycore, etc. It might be a fun way to experiment with color combinations you might not normally reach for, and to design new products that would appeal to certain aesthetic niches.
I actually just got home from buying red yarn! I use it all the time- I'm in a Union and red is a very big color for solidarity within unions. I make beanies and bandanas for our members so I always just have so much lol (but certainly not a fave color)
I love the little octopuses! When you started the hat, I immediately thought candy cane! I like the picnic theme better for June. Can't wait to see more colors, definitely pink and maybe neon versions of all colors? Or maybe close your eyes and grab a skein from your boxes and there is your color for the day! You are so creative! 🙂

Red is one of my most used color yarn, because i make a lot of crochet rose🌹 and sell them in special events like mother's day and graduations ♡ Thankyou Kelsie for another wholesome video! (watching while eating burger king 🍔)
I like orange, red, and yellow! You could turn this into a mushroom hat which is popular right now. I do custom Ami for pets and special characters so it’s awesome how you do clothing. I can knit garments and shawls (my favorite) but Ami satisfies the instant gratification of my shy crochet bug 🧡
Whenever you do the pink one, you should definitely make a pink gingham, bucket hat. Also the red one would’ve been absolutely adorable with little ants on it!❤

You have been absolutely KILLING it recently! A fantastic job, as always. I was so surprised when you chose to do an octopus again, but they are so adorable. I saw a trick where you can melt one end of the safety eye with a match/lighter and then they're easier to put on but haven't tried it myself.

I really like the gingham picnic hat! Acrylic yarn and carrying the alternate colors within the stitches, not to mention that there are no holes in the design, makes it much warmer, I suspect, than the granny cotton hats. Too warm for summer? For me, probably yes. But maybe not for others..

Red is my favorite color and I am currently crocheting the second row in a row of my 6 day star blanket with this color. The hat at first looked like the mushroom from Mario Bros, although in the end it had nothing to do with it and it turned out beautiful❤
What about a "Caesar chooses my yarn" where he chooses them and you have to use them? Could be a good yarn stash buster lol
OOH or a "black and white filter choose" where you only view through a single color type filter and you have to use those? (Although you probably know where everything is already anyway...)

This was a lovely video to sit and get overhwlemed with my own projects to, lol. As always, it’s wonderful to work besides another peep!
I think a fun idea to do would be to take a picture of all your yarns, put the colors of each yarn into a wheel and then spin 3 times. then you have to make something using just those 3 colors. like a 3 marker art challenge, but make it crochet! I'd be curious to see what you come up with!

You are correct, the plural of "octopus" is octopuses! That's because "octo" is a Greek prefix, and "pi" is a Latin suffix. So octopi is incorrect, puses is correct. Scientifically, anyway.
In common speech things are a bit more flexible because language grows and changes.
Another fun scientific fact - octopuses do not have ANY tentacles. Tentacles specifically are a limb that do not have suckers until you get to the very end. So squids have 8 arms, 2 tentacles. The tentacles are the ones with little paddles.
Octopuses have 8 arms. Just arms. :)

i feel you deeply when it comes to the color red. i have typically only used it specifically to go with many other colors, typically rainbow. and the one time i didn’t, i picked a few shades of red and cream and it was also giving candy cane/peppermint 🥴

Oh, my God. I totally loved this video. The hat is just perfect. And the octopuses are so cute.! Also It would be awesome if you could do a video crocheting everything in the pantone color of the year which is Peach Fuzz.. Every year, the pantone color Institute chooses a different color and Peach Fuzz is the color for 2024. Also if anyone was wondering. Most retail companies base their new product colors off of the pantone color of the year. So if you're seeing a lot of clothing in a particular color that is most likely the color of the year, that is a way for them to make more money. And that's how style trends are started.
