Even some of its writers, including the legendary Bernie Taupin, agree. Actually enough of Journey's work doesn't annoy me, but Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' absolutely does... I even had a very bad, _painful,_ dream it was in
I was at a get together and there was a Queen tribute band and turned to my friend and I said I can't stand Queen and he said "They are the most pretentious band ever".
Agree with Seton's take on stations that you've listen to in the past affects what you hate. Before the Sirius XM days and terrestrial sports talk, classic rock was it for me . You got a daily steady diet of Light My Fire, Start Me Up, Let It Be, Long & Winding Road, Stairway to Heaven Nights in White Satin , Jurney , Foreigner, etc. But the change the channel song for me was Bennie & the Jets, a daily staple on FM Classic rock.. I avoided seeing Elton's residency show in LV because I didn't want to spend $200 to hear him do this song. I went to the Yellow Brick Road farewell tour and what to you think was the opening tune - Bennie & the Jets! Couldn't disagree more with Fritzy.
While driving around with my daughter, I've said, UGH I could go the rest of my life without hearing that song again, so she started keeping a list and I'm up to around 50. Anything by Aerosmith, Bon Jovi...Simple man by Skynyrd, it's a long list!
"Don't speak by" by No Doubt and "I don't want to miss a thing" by Aerosmith has to be in the top ten of the most irritating and depressing songs ever.
May be too early for the Danettes but DP should have recalled the absolute horror of Everybody Wang Chung Tonight... by Wang Chung. It makes me want to drive off a cliff
Seton’s choice is the winner. That band only has that one song idea. They just write different lyrics and play it at different tempos. Personally if I hear anything by SmashMouth I want to destroy the radio it is coming from.
Yeah it’s stupid as fuck but for me since i was about 8 years old, it’s sort of nostalgic. But if nostalgia wasn’t at play I can definitely understand LOL 😂
We Built This City gets so much hate, I don't think it's that bad of a song. I'm not saying it's great, but I wouldn't say it's anywhere close to being the worst.
"Cherry Pie" by Warrant. That causes me to claw at my ears and stuff them full of rocks. And I, like "the Dude" Lebowski, can't stand the Eagles. I'll pull over and set the car on fire if "Desperado" comes on. At Christmas time, stations around here play nothing but Christmas songs, and when "Feliz Navidad" comes on, I become violently enraged, like I want to burn things and hurt small animals when I hear that.
The look of disdain on Marvin's face....lol
Mr Jones by Counting Crows. Radio stations over-played that in the 90s, it just beat me down.
Hate living on a prayer as well .
Nothing is worse than that infernal Kars for Kids jingle. I’d rather burn for eternity than have to listen to that song!
We Built This City On Rock & Roll is bottom of the barrel.
Even some of its writers, including the legendary Bernie Taupin, agree.
Actually enough of Journey's work doesn't annoy me, but Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' absolutely does... I even had a very bad, _painful,_ dream it was in
The only really good Starship album is their first. "Blows against the empire". On the other hand the Airplane was magnificent.
Agreed.
i dug it , NUMBER 1 FINALLY
todd at the end was hilarious.
for me its Bohemian Rhapsody. cant stand it.
I was at a get together and there was a Queen tribute band and turned to my friend and I said I can't stand Queen and he said "They are the most pretentious band ever".
Every time I hear Sweet Caroline, I want to jab ice picks in my ears!
"What the Fox Said" or whatever that atrocity was called. Truly grating.
Nailed it!!
We build this city is the winner
“Lover (You Don’t Treat Me No Good” by Sonia Dada. Radio played this song like 15 million times in the 90’s
That was good stuff. You all always bring it.
I can’t believe that NOBODY tried to Rick Roll the show with the Rick Astley classic….this would have been a perfect opportunity!

OMG Dan's pick was the one I banned from our wedding!
Fritz! I love that song! Damnit!
While driving around with my daughter, I've said, UGH I could go the rest of my life without hearing that song again, so she started keeping a list and I'm up to around 50. Anything by Aerosmith, Bon Jovi...Simple man by Skynyrd, it's a long list!
Some of Aerosmiths songs are annoying...
"Don't speak by" by No Doubt and "I don't want to miss a thing" by Aerosmith has to be in the top ten of the most irritating and depressing songs ever.
Muskrat Love is #1. Beat dat.
Hahaha. Excellent.
Hate any song in any Pixar DreamWorks or Disney movie that my daughter has sung 1,397 times.
Anything by Nickelback or "I'm still Jenny from the block" by J-Lo...anything by J-Lo really.
Bohemian Rhapsody, and EVERY song by Michael Jackson. Honorable mention, candle in the wind.
Bohemian Rhapsody is a masterpiece.
It’s opinion, no right or wrong, if you like that song, that’s fine, I just don’t
My personal turn off the radio ... Bohemian Rhapsody ... can't stand that autrocity.
Most pretentious band ever
Any time I hear Call Me Maybe, I want to drive off a bridge
Living on a prayer is an all time great.
May be too early for the Danettes but DP should have recalled the absolute horror of Everybody Wang Chung Tonight... by Wang Chung. It makes me want to drive off a cliff
“Dance Hall Days” by Wang Chung does that for me. 🤷🏻♂️🙄🤦🏻♂️
Freedom in the sky? Played relentlessly in late 70's- early 80's
Marvin may have liked David Byrne's version of "I Wanna Dance With Somebody"
I agree with Dan.
I might get a lot of slack for this...
Hey Jude by The Beatles.
Not here. Can’t stand any song from the Beatles.
When I was little I thought they were saying “Jew”.
Seton’s choice is the winner. That band only has that one song idea. They just write different lyrics and play it at different tempos. Personally if I hear anything by SmashMouth I want to destroy the radio it is coming from.
I couldn't agree more...that song, "hey there, your a rock star, get the show on..." I couldn't stand that song.

“Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey. I just don’t like it. It annoys me. I hate that it is such a commonly played song.
I have two:
Love shack and sweet home Alabama
Love Shack is an instant migraine for me.
Dude, couldn't agree more. Every time SHA comes on I turn the radio off. Soooo tired of that freakin' song!
"Don't Stop Believing" by Journey my high school played it every assembly and it annoyed me.
so done
I hear Take Me On/a-ha repeatedly in grocery stores still, horrible
The comments are great. I'm laughing. I must add this song. Danke Schoen by Wayne Newton.
Gotta go with Mambo No.5!!!!!
Yeah it’s stupid as fuck but for me since i was about 8 years old, it’s sort of nostalgic. But if nostalgia wasn’t at play I can definitely understand LOL 😂
Ok, who doesn't hate "In the Year 2025!" And thanks to thinking of that f#$!@ing song I've had an earlier of it all day.

Really? Elton John is Amazing I Like That Song A Lot!
Dan, when I heard you say what song you hate, I laughed. 100% agree. I do the same thing. I can't stand that song, either. Horrible.
Dan gets it right, Bon Jovi is the worst.....mine would be Hotel California by the Eagles, yikes
Agree with DP's choice but vehemently disagree with Marvin. Bad take Marvin.
Dream Weaver or Tempted by the Fruit of Another. Can't stand em. Or anything by Journey.
Doo Waa Diddy Diddy Dum Diddy Do

I can tolerate that song...I've heard a lot worse songs than that one.
