Thank you for the detailed video! May I ask when you applied for P. Eng license (which year)? I just want to make sure whether WES accreditation of Indian degree is required as of 2022 or not. Thanks again!
I applied in 2019, and yet have not received license. My experience is still not complete. WES accreditation is not considered by PEO. They have a special Academic Requirement Committee which reviews your academic credentials. Hope this helps, and best of luck!!

Thanks for the all the video on Information related to P.Eng. process. I will be coming to Ontario in May There will be some changes in P.Eng process, Canadian experience requirements and EIT. Should I start process from India or after reaching Canada ?
I had started my process from India, however couldn't find anyone to validate my marksheets and transcripts, as they either require an Ontario Notary Public or a P.Eng. Hence, I had to wait till I came to Canada. Here, I went to PEO office in Toronto and they verified my marksheets and transcript with the original in front of me and returned me the original. I wanted to start the process from India, but couldn't. The best is to gather all relevant documents -syllabus, transcript, etc. from India, and then apply after landing in Canada.
Hello Sir I am Manan Mehta I have done my Masters in Chemical Engineering from India and currently pursuing my PG course of Energy Management from Conestoga College (2 years) Can I get a Chemical Engineer job based on my Masters degree from India here in Canada ??? Or do I need to clear the exam for P.Eng?
You can get a Chemical (Process) Engineers job based on your Masters from India. Check out the jobs at indeed.ca However, as you don't have a P.Eng. you will not be given the designation of an engineer, but can still do engineering work. You will be working under a Process (chemical) Engineer. Not all companies require that you be a P.Eng. before hiring you. You can start working and apply for your license.
@@automationcontrolstepbystep Thankyou so much sir for clearing my doubt . You have no idea how ease I am feeling after hearing this positive reply from your side . Really appreciated Sir
@@automationcontrolstepbystep Also sir I wanted to know weather industries will consider my Indian Master degree to land me a job as a chemical/process engineer or else I have to take a job depending on the current (ENERGY MANAGEMENT) studies that I am doing from Canada???
@@mananmehta4267 It depends on the job you are applying for. Industries consider your qualifications from back home country. I know many people who don't have a Canadian degree, but got jobs depending on their qualifications from home country and experience. You can apply for process engineer job and they will consider your back home degree and experience. If you apply for energy management job, they will consider your Canadian studies.
Hi, I have my bachelors in Power Electronics, Masters in Electrical, Experience in Communication and Control Engineering, (1) Do I need to gain experience in electrical core. (2) My more than 70% experience was as a technician, will it be considered ? I have NPPE given and passed, I need to submit experience in 2 months. Is it possible we can extend deadline if my experience is not 4 years yet
Your discipline of practice you will be given license. As you have given NPPE, you meet all academic qualifications. If you don't have 4 year experience, you can tell PEO to extend the deadline. They will extend it.
Hi there, can you please let me know where exactly and how shall we submit the syllabus with the application, as I don't find any specific place to upload the syllabus
I found your video very informative. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have a few questions that I would like to ask you in more detail: Q1. Based on my educational background and experience, I wanted to inquire about the process of giving a direct interview for job opportunities. I have 4 years of experience in mechanical engineering in India, along with a B. Tech. degree in mechanical engineering from 2015 to 2019. Currently, I am pursuing my master's (MEng) in mechanical engineering at the University of Windsor, which is expected to be completed in April 2024. Could you please advise if I would be eligible for a direct interview based on my master's degree, or would I still need to go through a certain application process? Q2. I would like to know if it is possible for me to apply for PEng (Professional Engineer) at this stage. I would greatly appreciate your valuable advice regarding this matter. Q3. I have heard from friends that holding a master's degree from a Canadian university exempts candidates from taking an exam and makes them directly eligible for a PEng license. Could you please clarify if this information is accurate, or if there are any additional steps or requirements that I should be aware of? Q4. In your video, you mentioned that there are three core technical exams. I would like to know more about these exams. Do I need to select three subjects from the available options and pass exams on those specific subjects? Could you please provide further details on this process?
Please find replies below, Q1. You can apply and can give interviews if employers call you Q2. You need to complete 4 years experience & academic requirements. So I'd advise you to complete M.Eng., get 4 hours work experience and then apply for P.Eng, as per the revised rules. Q3. Yes, if you have a Canadian degree then you don't need to give any academic exams and it makes candidates exempt from exams. Q4. If you get your degree then you don't need to worry about these core exams.
Thank you, sir, for your valuable advice. I really appreciate this. I have some cross-question, Can you please answer these As you said, "So I'd advise you to complete your M.Eng., get 4 hours of work experience, and then apply for P.Eng, as per the revised rules." Is it 4 hours? Also, can you please send the link to the revised rule? Also, you said "Q3. Yes, if you have a Canadian degree, then you don't need to give any academic exams, and it makes candidates exempt from exams." which means once I complete my master's, I am directly eligible to get licenses. The only thing I have to do is go to the main office (Toronto) and show my Btech and master's (degree, transcripts, and syllabus) along with my 4 years of Indian experience. thts it? and they will collect my information, and they will give me a P.Eng.
Sorry, for Q2. it is 4 years of work experience. Please access the PEO website and check the requirements, www.peo.on.ca/apply/become-professional-engineer/application-requirements Q3. After you get your Canadian degree you only meet the academic requirement. You still need to PASS the NPPE, first, and then meet the experience requirement i.e. 4 years of work experience. You need to submit your Engineering Experience Record, which is the toughest step in the process. You will need to provide contact details of your supervisors and a referral form will be sent to them. Your supervisors need to fill and send the referral form to PEO. After they have reviewed your referral form, along with your Engineering Experience record, they will decide whether your experience qualifies as "Engineering Experience". If it doesn't then mostly you will be called for an interview, where you will be asked to defend your experience. If your experience, qualifies as Engineering experience, then they will not give you P.Eng. designation immediately, but as per their rules, and work load they will tell you when you can expect a decision from them.
I tried giving the WES, but they refused. They have their own Academic Requirements committee which reviews your academic qualifications. You will just need transcript from University, along with all marksheets.
Thanks for the idea. We don't have any courses at present, but shall start working on the course. Can you please be kind enough to tell us what all you are looking for in the course? The course won't be ready soon, as we have to do a lot of content preparation and planning for it. We shall let you know whenever it is ready. We cannot give a completion date at present.
@automationcontrolstepbystep: good informative video. I have 12+ years of experience in India and will be traveling to CANADA after 7 months on PR basic, can I apply for the license from India itself (before landing in Canada)? also, I am not able to locate the link for signup could you please share the same?
You can start your application from India, but the main problem is attestation of your transcript, degree certificate & marksheet. They don't accept attestation from Indian notary. Please find below link for application, www.peo.on.ca/index.php/licence-applications/become-professional-engineer/graduates-non-ceab-accredited-engineering-program
WES is required for Permanent Residency visa. It's not required for PEO license. PEO evaluates your academic credentials separately, and doesn't consider WES. Both are separate.
I greatly appreciate your informative video, and I am grateful to have found someone who is knowledgeable and genuine to seek guidance from
Thanks. Glad it helped

is it that we (the applicant) has to select the 3 core subjects or is it provided by the organization
You will have to select, mostly. However, for some aspirants, PEO tells you to give some exams mandatorily. It all depends on your application.
