We need to raise awareness on postpartum psychosis! I experienced it when i had my only child at the age of 17. I was too scared to reach out for help bc i thought she would be taken from me. I smoked weed at an astronomical amount to deal with it but we need to release the stimga surrounding it
So sad. It seems odd that Detra’s mom didn’t alert police herself when the boyfriend first said the two were not home. But there may have been a 48 hour missing time before police would take a report and it was known to Alera and he told her mom. The records are so sparse! Is Detra’s mother still around to interview?
The black community is notorious for looking for their own and not relying on police for help especially during the past, so its really not that odd in my opinion.
@@ParfaitDream I get what you’re saying. But I would want EVERY available resource helping find my missing daughter. Black or any other ethnicity, everyone deserves that!
@@sandyshirley5079 well yeah, in theory that would be nice but the history between the police and the black community isn't the best now is it. The fact there are still no answers in this horrible murder and disappearance even after they did contact police should speak for itself pretty much.
I was thinking that maybe the mom was in grave danger and thought throwing the baby out a moving car was it's only chance. I'd like to think this , at least bc any other outcome is disturbing.
I had a girly friend that was from lake City. I moved there for a couple of months but it's just too small. Tampa was calling me home lol. Thanks for the comment John!!
Jealous lover of the boyfriend? Drug dealers? He did, after all, comment about “they doing it to them and not him”. Another question would be, where is the person in the car that ran over her? I’m not saying they are responsible but they could have been a good witness.

There is no rlaw that says you have to be missing 48 hrs.
