I wish games like this were designed with online coop. I rarely have anyone over and if I do it isn't to play video games. Most of my gaming buddies live far away and not having online coop, for refreshing/interesting games such as this, is a shame.

I know... It's crazy! I have been through so much :( Thanks, after chapter 4, the difficulty does pick up and it was fun to actually be properly challenged in a game, i feel too many games are really easy these days.

No this is excellent the among the worst trophies are ones that want you to beat a game at a difficulty that is not enjoyable. If you naturally love SHMUPS then you will likely play the game on extreme no need to force the trophy hunters to play on that difficulty.
I like SHMUPS and with a platinum trophy for motivation I consider giving this a try. BTW: The pronunciation of Luftwaffe was wrong but not a desaster ;-) As always: A good review with enough quality information to make my own opinion about the game.
