The MONSTER drill bit at the end of the video is insane. Thank me later…

One of the best things about working in this industry.
    Being a problem solver.
When somethings doing your head in and you find a way to resolve it.
You finish that day feeling pretty good about yourself.
Well, enough to come back and do it again tomorrow 😀👍

Couldn’t have said it better myself. The joy of problem solving is in itself a major highlight of being a machinst.
And there no shortage of problems in heavy duty land 😂

Certainly saves a bunch of time and lets us save material.
      Thanks for tuning in Pete

I thought that looked familiar, I just couldn't place it. It's been a long time since I had a gooseneck off a bicycle.

I thought so too. The man who actually designed it - Krester - is a fabrication genius. So lucky to work with him.

Nice and simple solution to your lifting and handling problem.
I saw during the week that King Kong bought the retirement farm plot. IE he died in the line of dut

Kong (thankfully) still in full metal munching mode.
It was the big bro Godzilla that bit the dust. The upgrade... THE BEAST... is perhaps our best rebound from failure.
      This thing is a weapon.

I suspect that the designer is a fan of old-school bicycles? The classic threaded steerers used exactly this design for the handlebar clamp.
Most disconcerting when it came loose, I recall.

I’m pretty sure they’re underground mining ventilation and “escape” holes.

@@halheavyduty That’s about 16 US $0.05 pieces! Sorry, as an American, I’ll allegedly do anything to avoid the metric system.
