My first PC was a Gateway 2000 that had 8MB RAM and 200MB hard drive --- that fucker cost me $3,500 !!! But I loved it anyway --- Windows 3.1 had its limitations but was easy to learn
Amazing, at the time they had already predicted what has happened in the last years (internet boom, online gaming, smartphones (what else is "bringing windows to your phone"?) , smart-tv´s) and a hint of the future with domotics. Brilliant
Bill Gates was a lot hotter than Steve Jobs when they were young. Bill Gates was handsome, smart, soft-spoken and respectful... every reason to be admired.
i remember when my dad bought our first "home" computer in about 2001-2002 with windows 95 pentium III like 600mhz 512mbram ha now in 2012 my very own computer consists of 3.7GHZ i5 quad core 8gb of ram and a 6870amd video card shits changed dramatically in the past 10 years
Goodness....what a visionary...Bill was correct. What is also interesting to note is the polemic discourse of the overall piece. Doom and gloom with the subtext of something sinister from the interviewer. It shows you how the filter of the media - in this example - can attempt to structure our perception. And in this case it was wrong and deliberately negative and fear inducing.
How old is this video, really? Windows 7 is pretty great. A great gaming PC can be had for about the same price of a, well, Mac that is made for little more than web surfing.
Great video. I like everything Microsoft & Everything Computers. It has been one of the most exciting times of my life. I have liked everything Apple also. I only wish things were better. This technology future did not come up perfect, as it should have. It was the fault of people making bad decisions in the late 1960's and early 1970's that affected (for me) the future of the world. If it had been just a little bit better, little better decisions, it would be perfect. Someone stole the future.
Am a male, this video is actually about bills gates prediction of how the internet will look like. Or to translate it for any other genders "this video is actually about bills gates prediction of how the internet will look like."
"500 channel interactive smart TV" - Now there's a crystal ball statement if ever there was one!

thought Gates bought DOS for 50k off someone else and just 'tweeked' it.
Mine was black and white (hint: even sharper than Mac's monitors ;))
Bill has mad sensuous lips.

Let me translate this for the male readers: "Bill is really, really rich".

No they didn't.
Apple really took the lead, in a lot of what Gates once imagined.
