Not only do I have the same issue mentioned, I also have a problem with audio randomly fluctuating from high to low when switching channels and in between commercials. I called Hulu and was told that it was a known issue with them, they are working on it, and they gave me a HUGE credit for the month. I am so annoyed with adjusting my volume so much that I'm thinking about sacrificing a few channels and try RUclips TV.
Sorry to waste your time but it's for informational purposes so people realize they're not the only ones having the issue. This video lets people quickly realize the audio issue is with Hulu, not themselves. I think it's helpful.
Well not that it's a fix but I've noticed other issues that have only persisted on my roku tv Hulu isn't the only platform I've noticed it on Netflix where the app will just crash while loading or streaming here is how I resolve usually it "helps" I say this cause it always comes back later like a few days, anyways for roku I go to the settings for the TV do a forced system software update this just looks for one if there is one it updates if not it says up to date then I do a system restart via setting under power this usually resolves these issues, I feels kinda like when your phone starts acting up so you hard restart it and it starts working properly again... same diff

I pause at the beginning for a few seconds, then unpause, pause, unpause. Fixes it. Still annoying though
