I don't know about the evil eye, but can "feel" the gaze when someone is staring at me from behind, even though I can't see them. I guess many of us have that experience.
I have that also, if someone is staring at me from somewhere, I feel the energy and can locate where this person is, this may be in a high up flat someone peeking through the curtains or behind me.
@Thatburner yep its very weird, like I was washing my car and cleaning inside, suddenly I felt some energy or stare or something heavy over me, I Looked around could not see anyone and continued but that uneasiness continued and then suddenly I pinpointed and looked straight at the opposite building first floor window, the blinds where closed but the guy (pervert) was peeping through and looking at me. He got the shock of his life and moved away. I stood up and looked straight at him he got so shook that his blinds start to shake as he moved away.
People say i have "evil eye" but let me tell you something: Not all peole with evil eye are bad persons. I got evil eye when many people make me mad. The problem is it last for hours or days and my family and friends think i give them evil eyes but they are wrong. The only way to protect from evil eye is being strong and fear nothing.

In church when I priests reads from scriptures to remove the evil eye from you, they don't actually say evil eye but 'diabolical energy'. So basically it's bad or negative energy.
You're not supposed to ask for protection from anyone but Allah. If it's a cultural thing it should stay as a cultural aspect not to be believed to have any kind of power. Nazar is real, The amulet's power is not.

In the Philippines, particularly in the beliefs of the Tagalogs, we don’t have the belief of evil eye but we have a thing called “usog” (OO-sog) or “balis” (BAH-lis). It’s when someone unintentionally makes you ill when they greet or take notice of you. It usually happens with babies and the older you get, the stronger your “usog” works. It’s also said to be stronger if you are hungry or tired since you are passing on your low energy vibes to the person you’re greeting. Example, a very tired man made eye contact with a baby and later the baby would feel sick. Unless someone makes a sign of the cross on the baby’s tummy or footsole, the baby won’t be well. That’s why it’s a tradition in my area to put a cross sign on a baby’s tummy before you part ways with them because you’ll never know if you inflicted “usog” on the baby. It can also happen to people with weaker stomachs or people more prone to “usog” but I think they can do the cross thing on themselves.

They said, “O Messenger of Allaah, you accepted the bay’ah of nine but not of this one.” He said, “He is wearing an amulet.” The man put his hand (in his shirt) and took it off, then he (the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)) accepted his bay’ah. He said, ‘Whoever wears an amulet has committed shirk.” (Narrated by Ahmad, 16969) This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 492.
King Pin no it isn’t. Believing anything other than allah, whether it is an amulet or a statute or anything can protect you except allah , is shirk. This is basic Islam. Allah is the one that protects.

Anything and everything happens by Allah’s power... my ustazah said that the evil eyes happened because we didnt praise Allah upon seeing something we are envious about... we are supposed to praise Allah for everything good and beautiful because Allah have created them but instead we praise other people or even ourselves. According to hadith, the remedy when you are struck with an evil eye is to take a bath in a water that the person whom gave that evil eye to you had made ablution... or if you dont know who it is then bathe from your mother’s ablution water. Look at all the other posts you see here. No one denies Allah's powers. All good and bad comes from Him. He created the devil and He can easily destroy him. The devil or jinn is not the arch enemy of Allah/God as portrayed by other religions. The problem is in the practice of *some* Muslims who don't follow the teachings of our Prophet (pbuh). This is why actors always say "break a leg" instead of "good luck." That probably has a reall suggestive effect in many cases. But I simply cannot fear anybody's evil eye when I trust in God. Yes, I have had misfortunes in my life. So what? Most everybody does. In any case, these are not to be feared but ought to be sources of wisdom.
Not only that it needs more recitation, but the morning and evening azkar as well. And ikhlas and falaq and nas 3 times after Fajr and Maghreb prayer. Because the Hadith says that it “suffices you in all respects” which means that it will serve to protect you from everything if recited in the morning (after fajr) it will protect you from everything by the grace of Allah until evening comes (Maghreb) so recite it again and again. Continuously if you want to be protected. (Fun fact, the last ayah of falaq contains ‘and from the evil of the envier when he envies’ this is evil eye.) Ayat al kursi serves as a protection for jinns its part of the morning and evening azkar, your recite it in the morning you’ll be protected until evening. Same with evening until the morning. and then it gets complicated if you have evil eye and is looking for cures, the cures are ruqya and taking a bath (having water poured over you) this is proven from the ahadith of the prophet (saw)
Well as a Greek what I’ve always been told and seen is spitting. Not literally but something like that to prevent yourself from getting the evil eye [which is called mati (μάτι, m-ah-ti) by the way and not yati] , giving it to someone or making your plans fail or go wrong
That evil eye thing maybe on a person or a thing , I’ve had reading glasses for 3 months and just a few days ago someone said , l love your glasses at least 3 times in those 30 minutes. And 2 days later from that comment l noticed the frame was cracked. Aww man l like these glasses. Once l was wearing a blouse that really liked it was new too , a friend saw me and kept complementing me on my blouse because it had lace all on the bottom . By the end of the day a freaking thread came lose traveling till part of the lace came off . That was the evil eye look too . When my kids were babies people admired them so much saying they were cute or adorable babies, that by the night my baby was sick with fever . I cured them with an eye , but yes this evil eye does exist . It comes with anything people can admire.

Here we have herb stores they sell bracelets of all kind of protection, this store sells candles for certain occasions as well and sells Herbs 🌿 🪴 too . Take a journey it’ll be all worth it

It could also be coincidence, you remember when someone compliments you and you were probably still remembering the compliment when the bad thing happened. But what about all the other times when the compliment doesn't cause harm?
In Romanian culture, an evil eye is known as “deochi” and people with green eyes are more likely to put you under this curse. Also, if a baby was fed by another mother you’ll feel worse than if another person did this and if not taken care of rapidly by having someone to tell you a prayer (bonus points if it’s an old lady or a priest) you can die. We also wear red clothing or bracelets and amulets to be immune to the evil eye (usually seen on babies and pets since they are more vulnerable) but if you don’t see something like that you have to “spit” them so you won’t give them an evil eye. You can get an evil eye from someone who’s envious or from someone who likes you a lot (physically).

In Turkey yes we believe in the nazar(evil eye), in fact every muslim is supposed to believe in nazar because it is mentionned in Islam and there are prayers against it in the Quran, so basically it will be strange as a muslim to not believe it. Now when it comes to those accessories, don't misunderstand we don't think that protect us, most people like to wear it as a jewelry because it has a simple yet beautiful design and sure in Turkey they declined in many kinds right ? Same for the people that put it on their wall or somewhere in their house, it's meaning is for decoration, it's part of the turkish culture so you can find it everywhere.

What else makes it shirk is if you view the object as a source of power, it’s only an object to cast the eye of the gazer. There is no harm in wearing/hanging charms, Amulets as a positive affirmation. God is not so minimalistic to send people to hell just for an amulet 😌🤲🏻

Evil eye is so real,I was affected for more than 7 years,I used to be very curvy,I have almost a perfect body,any place I go both men and women stare at me even if I wear Abaya, any any time I go out they must be 1 or more people that will complement body or eyes,and I don’t fluent it at all, and now am just like a stick with head,I had many jinns that enter my body,only Allah knows how many they are but they were a lot subhannal,now am almost cure Alhamdulilah

I am a Roman Catholic-Chinese believer. I have a few of them & believe they protect me. I got my very 1st & most of them from my church in the Philippines & then @ the stores abroad.
I'm very curious about the evil eye. I also know there's different colors and meanings. I hallucinated this one eyeball while under the influence and it literally looked exactly like the normal depiction except the outer color was black and the inner circle of the eye was orange. So if anyone is willing to explain if you can combine colors to make your anti evil eye pendant potent in your way that would be awesome.
I’m from America so I did not know anything about evil eye . I remember when I got my first new car , that wasn’t even new , it was about 10 years old . But for some reason bad things would happen in that car, like bad luck . I would even have dreams of losing my car , trying to find it . Another dream I found my car at night out in the city on bricks because it had no wheels . Last dream of searching for that car , and no longer was able to find it . Will that car in real life ended with a very bad car accident , so bad it was totaled . When it hit the side walk , a tree and a house , the wheels where bent in !!! So they could no longer be fixed !!!. When the car was taken to the tow yard , it was put on bricks !!! Someone must have did witch craft or had some serious evil eye , from jealousy of that car . Later in life in my 30’s I began to learn of evil eye from a close friend . Now that I know , I pray to the Lord and the fevers , bad luck , pains go away from myself and my kids . When I pray for them . I’m so glad I now know that something like this even exist . Because now I know why some misfortune happens . And I go straight to the Lord for protection . Thank God He protected me in that car accident , God is good ! What a crazy world we live in 😅

In the Philippines, particularly in the beliefs of the Tagalogs, we don’t have the belief of evil eye but we have a thing called “usog” (OO-sog) or “balis” (BAH-lis). It’s when someone unintentionally makes you ill when they greet or take notice of you. It usually happens with babies and the older you get, the stronger your “usog” works. It’s also said to be stronger if you are hungry or tired since you are passing on your low energy vibes to the person you’re greeting. Example, a very tired man made eye contact with a baby and later the baby would feel sick. Unless someone makes a sign of the cross on the baby’s tummy or footsole, the baby won’t be well. That’s why it’s a tradition in my area to put a cross sign on a baby’s tummy before you part ways with them because you’ll never know if you inflicted “usog” on the baby. It can also happen to people with weaker stomachs or people more prone to “usog” but I think they can do the cross thing on themselves.

Not only that it needs more recitation, but the morning and evening azkar as well. And ikhlas and falaq and nas 3 times after Fajr and Maghreb prayer.
Because the Hadith says that it “suffices you in all respects” which means that it will serve to protect you from everything if recited in the morning (after fajr) it will protect you from everything by the grace of Allah until evening comes (Maghreb) so recite it again and again. Continuously if you want to be protected.
(Fun fact, the last ayah of falaq contains ‘and from the evil of the envier when he envies’ this is evil eye.)
Ayat al kursi serves as a protection for jinns its part of the morning and evening azkar, your recite it in the morning you’ll be protected until evening. Same with evening until the morning.

That evil eye thing maybe on a person or a thing , I’ve had reading glasses for 3 months and just a few days ago someone said , l love your glasses at least 3 times in those 30 minutes. And 2 days later from that comment l noticed the frame was cracked. Aww man l like these glasses. Once l was wearing a blouse that really liked it was new too , a friend saw me and kept complementing me on my blouse because it had lace all on the bottom . By the end of the day a freaking thread came lose traveling till part of the lace came off . That was the evil eye look too . When my kids were babies people admired them so much saying they were cute or adorable babies, that by the night my baby was sick with fever . I cured them with an eye , but yes this evil eye does exist .

In Romanian culture, an evil eye is known as “deochi” and people with green eyes are more likely to put you under this curse. Also, if a baby was fed by another mother you’ll feel worse than if another person did this and if not taken care of rapidly by having someone to tell you a prayer (bonus points if it’s an old lady or a priest) you can die. We also wear red clothing or bracelets and amulets to be immune to the evil eye (usually seen on babies and pets since they are more vulnerable) but if you don’t see something like that you have to “spit” them so you won’t give them an evil eye. You can get an evil eye from someone who’s envious or from someone who likes you a lot (physically).

In Turkey yes we believe in the nazar(evil eye), in fact every muslim is supposed to believe in nazar because it is mentionned in Islam and there are prayers against it in the Quran, so basically it will be strange as a muslim to not believe it. Now when it comes to those accessories, don't misunderstand we don't think that protect us, most people like to wear it as a jewelry because it has a simple yet beautiful design and sure in Turkey they declined in many kinds right ?

He accepted the bay’ah of nine of them but not of one of them. They said, “O Messenger of Allaah, you accepted the bay’ah of nine but not of this one.” He said, “He is wearing an amulet.” The man put his hand (in his shirt) and took it off, then he (the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)) accepted his bay’ah. He said, ‘Whoever wears an amulet has committed shirk.”

I’m from America so I did not know anything about evil eye . I remember when I got my first new car , that wasn’t even new , it was about 10 years old . But for some reason bad things would happen in that car, like bad luck . I would even have dreams of losing my car , trying to find it . Another dream I found my car at night out in the city on bricks because it had no wheels . Last dream of searching for that car , and no longer was able to find it . Will that car in real life ended with a very bad car accident , so bad it was totaled . When it hit the side walk , a tree and a house , the wheels where bent in !!! So they could no longer be fixed !!!. When the car was taken to the tow yard , it was put on bricks !!! Someone must have did witch craft or had some serious evil eye , from jealousy of that car . Later in life in my 30’s I began to learn of evil eye from a close friend . Now that I know , I pray to the Lord and the fevers , bad luck , pains go away from myself and my kids . When I pray for them . I’m so glad I now know that something like this even exist . Because now I know why some misfortune happens . And I go straight to the Lord for protection . Thank God He protected me in that car accident , God is good ! What a crazy world we live in 😅

Yup I was supposed to start a job 40 hours and get a call the night before my client passed away now I’m out of work again until I get a new client.
