- These are two scenes from The Laughing Woman back to back, where Maria first convinces Dr. Sayer he doesn't need to kill for enjoyment and where he finally accepts that proposition. I always found these scenes to be genuinely touching.
What happened at the end of the movie broke me.
Do you know where can i watch this film online with english subtitles? I was amazed by its soundtrack "Mary's theme" and i really hope to watch it. In the country where i live doesn't sell this type of film so it's hard go watch it :((
Same! I've been trying to find it online for weeks!
Did you guys end up finding the movie?
Oh my gawd it's been a year and i cant find it anywhere :"(((( i still remember that I once saw a full version of the film but in italian on youtube but sadly it's gone :(((((
Theres a bluray by mondo macabro
I dont speak Italien, but some photos are worth a thousand words, saw this scene dubbed in English, she wants to cure him of his unnatural desires...
Interesting.
Prologue to "Fifty Shades of Gray." You see kids, nothing new under the sun!
Fifty shades of gray is crap and purports to show a BDSM couple when it actually just shows an abusive relationship. Femina Ridens is art and depicts a man who actually abducts a woman but ends up genuinely falling in love with her. Any comparisons between the two are superficial at best.
50 Shades is a garbage Twilight Fanfic that wishes it could be like this film, or Secretary.
@@theCarbonFreeze But at the end she didn't love him back. Kinda like "Don't fall in love with a woman or else she'll hate you."
@@alexandertye3244 Yes. The idea is Sayer represents the worst of male chauvinism and Maria is the worst of second wave feminism. They exploit each other thru superior strength and wiles, respectively
I thought the same thing since I discovered 50 shades of gray hahah
