Hi, I also the Braun satin Hair 5 and I've recently discovered two more uses. 1) you can pour water inside the black little pot at the top of the device. So you can create steam and assure your waves. 2) you can pull down the black plastic ring in the middle of the device too. This will assure too the shape of the curls by creating more steam. I discovered them because I read the manual 🤣🤣 maybe you already knew it but just in case I hope it help you too.

@Shen yes, it does. At least does for me, but I also mention that I always put a heat protectant spray before.

I really like the babyliss intuitive devise. Babyliss is a bit pricey and Braun is affordable. If I had the devise available in my market I would have opted for babyliss❤️🙈

No I didn and I used very low heat setting and I don’t like how my hair feels after I apply heat protection 😕

I too got it as a gift (i wanted a curling iron but I got this) and I tried it out 2nd time today and I don't manage to get curles or waves with this device :/ I'm impressed it works for you... maybe tomorrow I'll also try it on dry hair just to see what it will do there.
I have to add that my hair is straigth by default. maybe this device works better for people with already curly or wavy hair ?
