Hey Raddo, we Just got our son a 2023 KX112 to race in Super mini class, I bought it from a person who only rode it twice it’s still brand new, and he didn’t know anything about bikes, it wasn’t running rite it’s like choking out from half to full throttle, it still had the 16/1 break in gas in it, I drained it and put the 32/1 in it and changed oil to Kawasaki KPO oil, and changed the Main jet from the 148 to a 140, I wanted to put a 142 in it, but I only had a 140 on hand and it is running so much better I’m 1000 feet elevation and 70-90 degrees, it also has a BR8es plug in it instead of the proper NGK R6262K-105 in it so I put that in it as well, I did order the 142 jet and I’m planning on putting that in once I get it, today is his first day at the track with it for practice and Race day is tomorrow! But it’s a sweet bike for sure, and will save his KX 85 a lot of wear and tear from running in both the 85 class and super mini.
When I first rode my sons old 2004 model Suzuki RM85L I was super impressed with how powerful it was and warned my kids not to get too crazy on it..We clocked it at 85mph top speed and once I got used to it I could honestly wheelie it from 1st to 5th gear easily..
@@marioneofytou Unless the speedo is out on my old F100 v8 pickup this little demon hauls ass on one wheel..Trust me MX 2 stroke bikes rule..especially the bigger ones with 500cc capacity.
@Rossi Carmichael An A Grade mx rider on a Honda CR500AF (Alloy Framed) 2 stroke should be able to shred a 450 four stroke as the 500 definitely puts out more Dyno Rear Wheel ponies.
@Rossi Carmichael Yes but could you imagine if KTM put current technology into 500cc or bigger 2stroke engines instead of just 300ccs?..They put out 65 plus hp in stock trim and where too much even for top riders in the day..The stringent new emission laws are what killed the 2 strokes and the focus went to 4 stroke..but in the foreseeable future even the 4 stroke will die as life slowly turns completely electric motor wise.
@Rossi Carmichael Mate believe what you want..Obviously a 4 stroke die hard you are...Watch Ken Kaplan videos on YT and he will Dyno prove who really rules the roost...and it ain't your 4 stroke rattler that kicks butt there😁😁😁
That kawi is a great bike. They both rode fine on it. Once they adapt to the power it is a much safer bike to ride at speed than the ttr. That bike is engineered to go fast. Great content nice to see the younger ones out in the dirt!
Timmy is faster on the TTR than her on the KX, was a gentleman and didn't pass her but could have. That 112 is a lot of bike. I think he should run the TTR until he wants more ponys. keep it fun.
Great info. My sone is wanting a 2 stroke but isn’t tall enough for a 125 and to be honest, it would be way too much. He currently rides a CRF150R and i think this KX112 will be great. It will be interesting to see how quick they get used to not having the engine breaking. In your opinion, do you think it would do decent on the trails if the suspension was softened up a bit with the clickers?
Love the content and love seeing Timmy in the videos! Hopefully this can be passed down for generations! P.S. what are your opinions on the new 2021/22 KTM xcw TPI’s? I just got a 2022 KTM 250 XCW TPI and I was just curious on your opinion!
Great information. I like your real world application with this video when transitioning kids to more capable bikes, regardless of how or where they'll be riding.
Going from a ttr125 to a supermini for the first time is like switching from a moped to a 1000cc sport bike. I bet they were scared to ride it in the powerband. Timmy would be comfortable with that bike after a few rides.
Awesome Rado! Timmy should have a blast on the kx112 once he gets used to it. So how did you like it haha? You sure sounded like you were having fun haha. Cheers!
Hey man I’m new to riding and I’m still confused on what to use for my chain. Some people say use those sticky lubes. Some say wd40 works just fine and some say never use wd40. I’m lost
Most of the time Im happy Im a big, tall fella. But this and the KX100 is no joke, they have no business having that much power LOL. I would have one if i was shorter. My legs were too cramped riding, but the 100 was 179lbs, and felt like 30hp that I rode of my buddy who was 5'6". He does the craziest enduro riding on his.
Lovely bike but trouble is you cant use them in the 85cc classes so i cant see it selling very well in Europe and uk as its very limited what you can race it in if it even is being sold in Europe and uk.
It’s specifically designed to run in the super mini class, they are now the only manufacturer that sells a super mini all the other manufacturers. You have to buy an 85 and then put the super mini kit on them which is longer swingarm 2 inch bigger, front and rear tires as well as a 105 or 112 motor. So they should sell pretty good for anybody who runs super mini class, we just bought our son one because he has always ran his KX85 in both the 85 class and the super mini class
I have the same bike and see you're running 142 main jet compared to stock 148. What temp and elevation are you at and do you like this setting? I am currently at 145 main but am wondering if I should go to 142.

Going from a 7 horsepower TTR 125 to well over 20 horsepower of the KX has got to be a big adrenaline Rush on the first ride!
im going from no bike to a 112😭

85mph on a RM85L? I get 88mph on my crf450. Well time to sell the crf.

Thank you Rado!!! Sarynn had a killer time with you guys. Scored a third this past weekend :)
congrats Saryn!! good job

Totally agree, thanks a lot Scott! I keep telling him that KX is much safer and can handle everything better than ttr
Great job all! Thank you for sharing it. Cheers.
thanks bro!
Great job guys!!
2 strokes are the best!
right one, thanks guys!

we will ride both, he likes ttr now cuz its easier to ride.. but at the same time he likes the challenge on 112
How tall are they?
That 112 is a badass machine,
Cheers.
sure is! cheers
Where are you riding at
haha, yea I wanted to be wise.. but still had a great time
Sweet. Go team Green. Ride safe my 2 wheel friends.
thanks Sandy!
What pilot jet are you running with the main 142?
YEAH dude!!! AND girls

Dave, I think this bike would be great for your boy. It has decent bottom power for trail riding too.. we will take her out on trails for sure
@@dirtniron Sounds great, thanks again for the info

thank you Kevin, glad you find it helpful!
The ou should post a video of when to shift the bike that would be ver helpful thank you
How's this thing do vs. a CRF-150R ?
Smokes the 150’s even the 85’s smoke the 150’s
Timmy is such a chill and cool kid 😎
haha, thanks Anan! he sure is ;)
Great job Timothy! You’ll be ripping in no time ✊🏻
thank you, hope so! ;)

As someone who's owned a ttr125, a kx100, a moped, and a literbike, I'd say you are spot on.
haha, yea it is a big step up.. will take some time to get used to it
Where is this at?
Great video! Considering for my wife’s next back after KLX140G for something better suited for moto. How tall is your daughter?
my son in the video was 5'2" I am not sure how tall Saryn was in the video
Where are you guys located? Northern CA?
SoCal

Yoo man , Fantastic day
I feel like I might be the only one who Desert races a 2022 kx112
have fun!
They will get better riding that 2 stroke the pull of that 112 is there
yes, it has all you need.. they can ride it for next few years
Saryn needs to look further through the corners to stop running wide. Good job!
Thanks for the tip!
Even though ttr don't kick like the kx but it can still be fast.
it sure can, but lacks suspension and ergonomics are little weird too
😃
Not once did I hear the 11 year old change gears.
That bike is too small for that girl
yes, she is very tall for her age.. she needs full size bike but the skills and strength need to improve first
Stupid idea kamikaze kawa 2stroke but no in 125 & 250 .
