used to drive t600 twin at my old dump truck job drove an 05 t880. With a cat c13 10 speed standard. Now I drive a 2018 pete 389 with a c15 cat (yes it's a glider kit one of the final years of the gliders before they were made illegal to produce in mass production) with an Eaton fuller 18 speed oh man that thing has some balls pulls 80 to 85k lbs like nothing my boss had a maximum of running 30k and in that truck due to being heavy as is plus add in the 40 footer frame less steel body dump and that weight climbs quickly when getting loaded. And wish you good luck on house hunting and that's just life variety is the spice of life you only have one do what makes you happy bud.
Jeff I live in the town of Vale it's in-between Burns and Ontario Oregon. It's not on the map but comes up as you drive through in ATS. So cool to see my area.
Hi Jeff I am from australia and love watching all your content ATS is my favorite, this is my daughter's account and I have a chronic illness and your content makes me forget about it ,so thankyou so much your a legend in my world ,muchly appreciate your hard work makes my day 🍺
Seeing that old Kenworth T600 rig on ( ATS) reminds of 90s as a kid luv these trucks from moving like Mayflower & United had them alot. Congrats Jeff on next big move from Florida to ur hometown Missouri yes agree family comes first.
The ATS videos are always enjoyable. Your videos opened a whole new interest in trucking Jeff. Over the years my fascination has grown and have learned a lot.
This truck you were using reminds me of the one my dad had,it was maroon, with a low roof so many memories, but it broke down, and my dad sold it for cheap I really miss that truck
love the t600 and thats a clean ass combo i think its a very clean model and very slept on feel like i dont see them on the road in real life as much as i used to whenever i do i always double look 🤣
Loved the video....Beautiful truck, will have to try it out. I really can't wait for Montana and Texas DLC to come out, super excited!! I can't believe its been 5 years already in FL....good luck with the house hunting and eventual move!! Keep up the awesome content!!!
3:47 they should make a mod or scs should ass where you could actually sleep anywhere you can like irl, ik u shouldn’t do it but like on exit ramps or shoulders and add more rest areas
Super hyped on trucks right now. Just got my commercial learners permit on Friday. Long way to go before I own my own truck, but looking forward to it. Hope you and the boys do some convoys again. The banter during that video was great. Would love to see more.
Man, I watched you play this for about a year before I caught the ATS bug and bought it for myself. lol. I still watch these videos because it's entertaining. I wish you and your wife the very best on your move.
Truck sim is 100% my favourite series. I just need to get my hands on a gpu to run john ruda's 389 on high at decent fps. And of course I'm excited that you get to cover more stuff on console
I’d love to see you visit Riding With Dave in Joplin, MO at CFI or Dave and Billy Jo visit you in St Louis. Let them try out your simulator. Would be some great videos for both you guys.
Hey mate, great video - cant wait for the flight sim videos when the 737 is released! Also wanted to wish you the best in your move back home - always good being close to fam! Shows how long I have been around I remember when you first moved to Florida, the house tours, vlogs and motorvlogs!
That's I all I do when I'm on the road is rubberneck. You see lots of neat things everywhere and plus you should be looking at every single sign. I noticed you coming in to corners a little fast for your liking and having to brake through the turn. You need to really be looking out for curve speeds especially if you don't know the area. Generally you need to be a little below that as a loaded truck. Keep up the good content.
Fantastic! Great content. You drive simulator better than some people drive real trucks. You could probably drive an 18 wheeler when you go to move and nobody would know the difference. Grab a dash camera and record your drive. I’m sure people would love the content. Hope your move goes smoothly.
Jeff this video is bomb AF and that race on Sunday was bomb AF as well three wide four wide racing you haven't you don't see that in NASCAR you haven't seen that in NASCAR since 2013-2012 so keep up the good work man this is awesome
Another great video as always buddy! Btw you asked about graphics mods and on the freeware side, Realistic Brutal Graphics and Weather is a solid one I would recommend. As for payware, there’s JBX and ProjectNextGen, both are solid and I’ve bought both but I definitely prefer ProjectNextGen
It’s official. Your gaming setup cost more than my whole life . 😂 anyways love the videos Jeff. I’ve been getting back into ATS myself with all the DLC sales going on
Hey Jeff if your hauling anything on a step deck or a flat bed there needs to be a headache rack on the truck or there trailer. It's DOT law. We'll use to be
That's awesome news about tour ambassadorship congrats on that Jeff. And I enjoyed the video and loved it alot and that is one beautiful truck Anyway keep up the great work Jeff much love to you man have a good one take care God bless and I will see ya on the next one brother catch ya later
Back in 2009 I had the pleasure of driving the real t600 b with a cat 3406 b automatic 9 speed overdrive at 60 mph it would drop into the 9th speed with 8 speeds in standard stick shift it was my lifesaver in 2011 in Joplin I just left flying j when that twister hit going down the 71 to Arkansas I don't know if it was the wind but I got that truck up to 100 mph which helped me escape that tornado I am Glad it was not a Cummings I was lucky to have that cat power
Must just be the way the truck is coded, as it shouldn't be any different from any other KW. Granted the Peterbilt suspension on the T880 at work feels squishy compared to the KW quad bag suspension my T800 has. With the air ride trailer that T880 skateboards or wanders really bad, damn near make you seasick with a 12 or 13 foot wide load on it as much sway as it has. I would honestly take a rubber bushing Hendrickson walking beam over the Pete air ride any day. If you are moving back to MO, definitely take a trip down to Joplin and check out the Chrome Shop Mafia's shop.
Thanks for the amazing content and it's nice to ride with you on this short journey. When it comes to my steering setup is I like the realism in the steering so I have the turning radius set to max degrees and set the high and low centering to max to get the real life amount to turn. I heard you said you thought about moving to Charlotte, NC, I suggest you don't cause it's turning really terrible there, Charlotte is nice place to visit but living in it would make you regret it. As New Yorker by heart and blood I know bad when I see it but I can say Charlotte is becoming a lot worse than NY with crime rate but the housing is a little cheaper.
Seriously Jeff. I would love to see you try a real tractor trailer with an actual 18 speed transmission. I would assume, like me most people watching this our truck drivers. And I'm sure if you put out the word that you want to try it and real life I'm positive somebody would let you do it. I just think it'd be very interesting to see how you doing a real truck. I bet once you got used to the size you do pretty well. Anyway just my opinion. My personal favorite truck is the Freightliner classic. With the long nose 86-in sleeper long wheel base dual stacks. I also love the Peterbilt 389s.
Thing is, even if he'd want to try it and knew someone. He'd only be allowed to try it on private property. Due to not having a Class A CDL. If the owner of the truck let Jeff go on the road without a CDL they'd both be facing heavy fines. Also heaven forbid if something went wrong, could face serious jail time.
@@Corky3D I understand. If everything were to work out... I think I'd make an incredible video. I get it ... I've been driving class A for over 40 years
Keep up the hard work Jeff. Always putting smiles on our faces.
The Kenworth T600 one of my favorite trucks as a kid

Hey Jeff, i was born in St. Louis I moved to NC back in 1998 I miss it every day.
A convoy with all the FivePD boys on ATS would be awesome!

The short lived Bandit tv show in the 90s used the same Kenworth, in the same color.
Glad to see ATS again here. Hopefully not long for some new content in ATS.

You can skip 1-4 but not 5-8 as 5-8 is high range and the gears are further apart (torque wise)
