- Twenty One Pilots performing their new song "Ruby" Live at The Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio on 5-27-11. Before the start of the song Tyler Joseph says this song was wrote for and dedicated to a girl at his church. One of my favorite parts was 4:36 were Tyler thanks us and says we're Twenty One Pilots and he'll never forget this for the rest of his life. There was a very cool part where everybody splits down the middle and both sides of the crowd sing "Ohh". Tyler then brings a ladder in the middle of the crowd and stands on it and has this flashlight. Everybody was so hyped! The crowd went nuts and encore chant erupts again after the song. I love how he still finds ways to get the crowd involved. They’re really down to earth and I love that since some musicians are just major assholes and don’t care about fans.
Tyler is such a natural leader I mean he literally just turned that audience into an orchestra he conducted 😂

I was 11 when this came out. I wish I knew them back then. I became a fan 2 years ago, but I'm happy anyway 'cause all that matters is that I know and like them now!

I love this lineup: Tyler, Nick, and Josh. Nothing against Chris because he was an awesome drummer.
It's strange watching the transition point from old twenty one pilots to new twenty one pilots. Those few shows with both Nick and Josh.

Glad u enjoyed it Brielle! I would love to see them play Ruby more live! Its been a while since I've seen them play it. But I see they have been playin Anathema recently at live shows which is one my top favorites by them from Regional At Best. So, I'm holding hope they will start playin this live again. =)
***** Yeah I recently saw them live and they played Anathema and Isle of Flightless Birds. They were great but not like this. I wish I had known about this band back in 2011.
Brielle Lan Love Isle Of Flightless Birds too!! Thats one of my top favorites to see from self titled. Soo glad to see thats being played live again too. That song is sooo underrated! Can't wait to see more peoples re-action to them playin that one live. I think a lot of people will dig it. I won't be seeing them until Sept again for the hometown show. So i can't wait! I'm gonna go crazy during both of those songs! haha

Brielle Lan Yeah, the hometown shows are the best. Can't even begin to describe the atmosphere. It will definitely be a night u won't forget. I'm still convinced once day they will release a live dvd of one of the hometown shows. Last time they pro-shot it and most of the show was youtube for a while not sure if its still up or not. I think some of the songs are. But if u ever go, just make sure u get your tickets as soon as they go on sale they sold out in about an hour this time around. Crazy!! haha.
