Hello Anna, this is an amazing video. I am not very clever on learning a new language so i have to ask you this: When we have the verb in the infinitive form, what we have after the stem, at the time of conjugating the verb, it goes away. ¿Am i wrong? P.D.: I know that there must be a ton of exceptions )))
If ending in infinitive -ати, -яти, the ending -ти goes away. For example, verb "читАТИ", we remove -ти, have "чита" and after add necessary personal endings. If ending -ити, -іти, їти, we remove all this ending. For example, verb "говорИТИ", we remove -ити, have "говор" and after add necessary personal endings.
Oh , and one other thing that i belive you did not talk about (sorry if i am wrong). How do we know when we have to change the consonants? (talking about both conjugations). You´ve mencioned only on the 2nd conjugation for the 1st person singular. I do not know if you´ll understand the question. Sorry for my bad english, greetings from Argentina
For 1st conjugation for all persons. Usually when we have letters З, С, К, СК (in some exeptions, Г, Т) before endings -ати, -яти, we change them. For 2d conjugation for 1 person in singular. Usually when we have letters Д, Т, З С, ЗД, СТ before endings -ити, -іти, -їти, we change them.
Interesting lesson! I'm not too good at these conjugations but I guess you gotta start somewhere :)
Thanks for the video
