  • Comox Valley Sculptor Pat Acton stumbled upon the Steampunk aesthetic by accident. Acton had been utilizing recycled materials to create his fanciful sculptures when someone pointed out that he was working in the steampunk style. Though he was unfamiliar with the term at the time, he embraced it wholeheartedly. Since then, Acton has continued to create remarkable steampunk sculptures, and his passion for this style has only grown stronger.

So marvelous! I remember when i discovered my adhd and ocd were actually superpowers to be used in creativity, and use them to super focus on the projects i love, right down to the details. I know you can see the magic before it's assembled, and i love love it!!

I have had the great pleasure of creating what I call “post apocalyptic utilitarianism” I feel like the term steam punk is just been bastardized by top hats with plastic gears glued to them. So I wanted to term that better fit the constraints that I was allowing myself to work inside of.

When I create a thing, I call it an assemblage. Things that don't seem to go together......for me they do. 🙃
