I pray that we can have the right words to help non believers and the religious to draw to Christ. I also pray for us that we would not be far from his coming Kingdom but a part of it because we continue to grow in our love for the Lord and people.
I'm intrigued today by the Sadducees questioning of Jesus, because they don't even believe in resurrection, and yet they're questioning him on an issue regarding the resurrection. How many times are we asked questions that people don't really want the answers to because they've already made up their mind what they believe they are simply doing it to stir the pot or to make you look stupid if they can catch you in some loophole of your faith. Something I noticed is that as people try to complicate faith by questioning its little inner workings and obscure situations, Jesus continues to make faith simple.
Yeah, I found myself comparing myself to the lady. How can I become like her? Giving everything or even for matters sake, even 50% of what I have. I would myself struggling to believe that Jesus would take care of me. I wanna take care of me and maybe that comes from doubt in others from the world and I’m putting that doubt onto Jesus.
They were so close, religious leaders but just so far when Jesus was right in front of them they still missed it bcos they were so wrapped up in this religion mindset
I'm fascinated in the way that Jesus was able to speak the truth with such love and compassion but still bold.
