  • This year, we celebrate 10 years of WWT Steart Marshes.
Over the last decade, the site has turned from a landscape with low biodiversity, into a stunning and expansive reserve that teems with life.
This incredible saltmarsh habitat not only supports wildlife, but also local farmers and residents, providing a thriving haven for everyone.

Brilliant. Wetlands are so underrated and we've destroyed the vast majority of them. It's reassuring to see that finally, people are starting to see how important they are.

A lovely, hopeful film that is a delight to watch. All the contributors have interesting things to say. Sadly, the presentation is devalued by the mindless intrusion of some sort of artificial, mechanical “music”.

Is that what it used to be?

Considering it's location by the sea and a river, I would say so, yes.... It would take some crazy engineering to maintain one, if it wasn't naturally occurring.

I do not want no beef from cows with ear marks.

No beef for you then. All beef cattle are tagged in the UK so that they can be traced from birth to slaughter. It's to protect you, the consumer. It's just an ear tag, like a piercing, with a unique number on it.

The earmarks are ID tags required by law to be able to trace meat and animals back to the farm. It's important for food safety.

Well, I've got the solution for you: stop eating beef. Better for the planet, too! In case you hadn't realised, there are precious few of our farm animals which aren't subject to painful processes several times in their life.

@@anniehill9909properly managed beef sequesters co2 and helps the land
Plus veganism makes you ill as there are no old vegans....
