I've been singing with your warmups for about a year now, these physical exercises are a great addition to your content! Definitely can see it helping with breath coordination as well. Looking forward to using these with your past/future exercises!
Dear Jeff, I am very new at trying to learn to sing. During this Covid year, not being able to go to the gym, I have been combining your practice videos with yoga and stretchy bands and light hand weights and some tai chi moves in order to distract myself from worrying if I will ever be able to sing well. I think I have benefitted over all. I just found this body cross video and I think its great. Thanks. It makes sense to me!
Jeff, this is such an insightful lesson to share. The mental aspect of singing is something that I’m constantly focusing on, and having deliberate exercises to improve this is very helpful. Thanks man!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching! Seriously, when I would teach these to the chorus I used to get so mellow. They seem so simply but they really do work! Enjoy! Jeff
Very interesting! A different approach for me because being the type of singer I am, I don't move around when I sing, but I will include these in my pre-vocalising upper body warm ups as they are movements I have done in the past when I was a keep fit fiend! Thank you dear Jeff, once again!
I checked out this video this morning and came back in the afternoon to do the whole video. It looks simple but I am sweating! Good exercise. Thank you again.😊
This should be taught in schools. I hope teachers could bring this idea into their classrooms. Having said so, I find it difficult to control my breathing during the elbow to knee exercise because I hunch. Any suggestion?
Thank you for that! That is exactly what I used to do with this! I was so calming and focusing. Well, for one, realize that this is it's own practice, and if your breathing gets a bit compromised for hunching down or moving around, that's okay for a few minutes while you'd doing this. When you move on the rest of your practice, bring that awareness to posture and breathing back into play and make it a greater priority then. I hope that helps! Thanks for being here! Jeff
Fascinating question! Actually, I kind of think I focus on the sound I want to come out. More of an intention as opposed to anything I'm actually hearing. Not sure that makes sense! :-) Thanks for watching! Jeff
@@JeffRolka thanks for your reply, I noticed i tend to go off pitch when I focus on the sound thats coming out of my mouth. Thank you for the videos they have really helped!
this was a mini workout lmao much needed!
Also, getting fancy with the split-screen! Love it!
Thank you! It's amazing what a few FCP plug ins can do!

Jeff

I think I speak on behalf of everyone after this video I absolutely want to see you do the robot.

As a singet with back pain probably caused by a weak core, I approve of this video.
Be gentle with your back!!!! Remember, you can just wave your arms so long as you cross your mid-section! Be gentle!
Thank you for watching!

Can you pleaseeee do a belting warm up for mezzos ?
😊🎹💚
Talking about focus, what do you guys focus on more, the pitch thats actually coming out of your mouth or to the voice inside of your head?
Fascinating question! Actually, I kind of think I focus on the sound I want to come out. More of an intention as opposed to anything I'm actually hearing. Not sure that makes sense! :-) Thanks for watching!
