seriously they could've made an album just out of their awesome b-side songs. the haunting, hell or high water, uncanny, all we have. I love that they are b-sides. i dont know why but it just gives them some extra magic that I can't put my finger on. like they were just old jam sessions that were found in an old attic chest or something.
AAarrghhh! I own all of Anberlin's albums, but there are still so many great Anberlin songs that i have't heard... I relly wish they would make a "lost songs 2" so that their fans may hear all their masterpieces!
I'm glad I am not the only Anberlin fan who hears their B-sides and thinks "Why didn't this make the record?" It astonishes me with both this song, and their other B-side on this record "All We Have", as well as with all the B-sides from New Surrender. Why do they chose to keep these great tracks off the record and chose to put some songs on? Don't get me wrong, I love every Anberlin song there is, I just don't see why they don't always put the best songs on the album.
My friend asked me what this song was about. I'm just guessing, but I think it means where ever a loved one is, they'll find them and even risk their life for them in danger. The lyrics "I'd come to save you" and "I'll come find you" seem to explain that. Just a guess.

Reminds me alot of their Blueprints/Friendship sound. I love Anberlin but I kind of wished they would make another record hearkening back to that sound for nostalgia's sake.
@DOA223 Nuh uh, I like Closer. I like all of the songs on the new album, but I really like this one..puts most of us at a predicament if we had the choice to take a song out and put this one in, no?
@xOMGPENOR I didn't like You Belong Here or Closer or even Depraved. But I do love all things Anberlin, and I say we just add it and take nothing out. Just like All We Have. I honestly think they didn't make it because these songs reflect the older, Cities-era Anberlin, but that could've been a great way to show evolution
Well, you might be lucky. Their next album (it's beeing recorded at the moment) will be produced by Aaron Sprinkle, the same guy who produced their first 3 albums :-) At least i'm very excited!
Hell Or High Water was released on vinyl only, it was never released in a digital format unfortunately. This recording was ripped from the vinyl, you can hear the occasional artifact. From memory I think it was a Newbury Comics exclusive.
