  • One can clearly say that: any sexual act committed by adults with or in front of a child is child sexual abuse. The sexual act took place either against the will of the minor or without knowing consent being given. In specific terms this means: the children and adolescents involved could not consent at all because they were dominated by the adult perpetrator.
This means that they are being physically, psychologically, mentally or even linguistically dominated. The perpetrators took advantage of their position of power. This is why we also talk about sexual violence. Sexual abuse is a form of violence.
Educators or psychologists assume that sexual acts between children and adults only occur because the perpetrator usually knows the child well and is able to manipulate him or her. This has nothing to do with genuine voluntary participation.
