He is SO fantastic in this (not to mention his lips and his bum!). Julianne Moore kills it too. It's like something from the Beeb, the production values are that good🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

remember that old man said to george that the king found somerset with a broken arm and took him in as pity and their story started. so, during the hunt george took the opportunity when he and somerset were racing to be first, he knew how it looked, he looked back to make sure the king was watching and the flung himself of the horse and ran into the tree. then also pretending to 'take the blame away from somerset' to appear purer and innocent.

Nicholas definitely has the unacknowledged bisexual energy that lures both men and women❤
“Nick’s fan are so horny, men and women, he unleashes something in people that I’ve never seen the likes of it before”said by Mary&George creator D.C Moore

I'm so happy you boys are watching this. Everything about it is perfect.
The Machiavellian machinations of the Tudor and Stuart courts absolutely bloody terrify me. I dont know why any noble would have wanted to curry favour with a monarch because youd instantly put a target on your back, if not from the capriciousness of the monarch themselves, then by the scheming of the other ladder climbing courtiers around you or the next in line to the throne.
I wpuld have lived out my days nice and quietly in the countryside and stayed away from all that shit😂

Let me guess: 23:15? Nicholas Galitzine licking his hand? Yep, that broke my brain too 😅

Loved your reaction, and I share your Galitzine appreciation. I'm sure it's been pointed out, but George threw himself off the horse and ran into the tree to injure himself further for the King's attention and ... pity.

To me the fashion was both exquisitely authentic and beautiful. George was definitely clever to obtain James’ attention and favor by playing the victim in that moment and practically recreated his first moment with Somerset. 👑🦌🩸👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨❤️🖤🤍

I'm not entirely comfortable with labeling these men as "gay" in the 21st century sense Gay as a political identity wasn't really a thing until the late 19th century. Up to that point, homosexuality wasn't something you _were_ but rather something you did. As far as royalty went, there was certainly views on "sodomites," but as long as the monarch produced legitimate heirs, there wasn't much done about extra curricular activities with people of either gender. And while George did remain one of James's favourites for some time, he did ultimately marry and have children. Plus some other stuff that would be kind of spoilery, so I'll stop there.
But yea, the man-on-man stuff was more common than many people would care to think. After Mary & George is done, you can go further back into British history with Derek Jarman's _Edward II_ that is surely streaming on one service or another. In that particular media, the director is very explicitly broaching homosexuality as political identity with a point, because the play is not adapted as a period piece.
