For a little context from a game developer, it takes me 1 working day to add a new Gun item into my current survival horror project. Not including model+texture times, that can take 1-3 days. With all of that, it takes me less than a WEEK to add a new weapon into my project, this includes: Sound FX, Particles FX, Animations, 3D Model. Now comparing games is like comparing apples to oranges, but if I can grow enough apples to fill a box in a month, but it takes you a year to grow a few oranges, you're distracted. It looks more like he wants to be a content creator knows for being a game-developer, than an actual game developer that also makes content...

Said this before, but as a senior engineer, I was immediately turned off by the way he spoke and within like three shorts, he was showing he had no understanding of networking so I just blocked his channel. All of the engineers I've met that speak like this have been terrible at coding, design, and security - they rely on the "autistic smart guy" archetype and politicking to get anywhere.

IIRC, he also used WoW as an example of why it would be especially impossible for larger MMORPGs...even though the fan-made classic version of WoW (Nostalrius) was being played by tens of thousands of people on a private server at the time (before Blizzard shut it down).

From then on, I knew to stay away from chatting with him. He was clearly hiding many things.

For a little context from a game developer, it takes me 1 working day to add a new Gun item into my current survival horror project. Not including model+texture times, that can take 1-3 days. With all of that, it takes me less than a WEEK to add a new weapon into my project, this includes: Sound FX, Particles FX, Animations, 3D Model.
Now comparing games is like comparing apples to oranges, but if I can grow enough apples to fill a box in a month, but it takes you a year to grow a few oranges, you're distracted.

IIRC, he also used WoW as an example of why it would be especially impossible for larger MMORPGs...even though the fan-made classic version of WoW (Nostalrius) was being played by tens of thousands of people on a private server at the time (before Blizzard shut it down).

The wild part is that I actually had an interaction with him in his discord in a VC at one point. I asked only a single question and it was about the current climate of relations between players, their input and a developer. The very first thing he did wasn't to answer the question, but to follow it up with a vague, "I'm thinking 3 steps ahead of you" by rephrasing the question in a way to make me look bad and asking one of his lackies about why this was a common question. The lackies completely misinterpreted my question. I tried to clarify, but other people spoke over me as well. In a way, he shut me out from the conversation entirely. To make it seem like he wasn't a bad guy they controlled the narrative to intentionally devolve it into, "most players will give useless feedback that you'll have to filter through and you're basically the victim in it all." From then on, I knew to stay away from chatting with him. He was clearly hiding many things.
