I can sit here and tell you about how amazing the club I support (Derry City) is and about our long history for a good while but I'm not going to. I believe you should support the club you feel the most connected to. Whether you were born, or live closest to it, or a friend or family member supported them, support a club you feel a genuine connection to. If you don't really feel that with any club though, fair enough
BOHS are a true club ⚫🔴⚫🔴 the oldest club in Dublin their getting the new dailymount and the team are improving since 2009 and the fans are the best and Idc if yea don't choose BOHS it's up to you but please don't choose the Scumy Rovers 😂😂😂😂
Bohemians. Oldest club in Dublin and 100% fan owned since their inception in 1890. Also have a nice stadium coming in 2025 and have a good set of players like James Talbot and Keith Buckley. There’s also a nice selection of bars around dalymount. Bohs are my choice.
You can't choose a club because they have better fans or good atmosphere or a nice stadium, or a fancy jersey! Football is irrational so (unfortunately or fortunately) you can only go with your gut feeling. It doesn't answer the question because there is no answer to this question ;P
I’m not messing when I say this but it’s probably not best supporting Bohs because the chances of you getting a ticket this season will be very slim as season ticket and member sales have been through the roof leaving little or nothing available for general sale. It’s just a point that maybe you could take into consideration.
I'd like if you supported rovers because tallaght stadium is the best stadium in the league, has got alright facilities and we have an ok atmosphere, we've already sold something like 1,700-1,800 season tickets! I would like if you support rovers but its totally up to you
As a Bray fan, I would say support Bray since you already have a connection with the club as your father used to take you to their matches, but you have to find the club that suits you the best and the fans you like the most.
I support St. Patrick's Athletic. I am not from Inchicore, but my father is from Crumlin, and his father is from Inchicore, so it was the natural choice. Its family connection
My team that i support is the shamrock rovers we are the best nobody can fuck with us to all the lads and lasses hail hail shamrock rovers ☘ greetings from dublin ireland 🇮🇪🍀
To be fair you should support whatever team you’d be able to get to see the most (seems like it’s Galway United)! Being there and being able to support the team each week is most important.
Going to give 3 easy ways on how to choose your team. 1. Choose a team with a bit of history behind them and a decent background behind the club (Shamrock Rovers, Bohemians Cork City, Shelbourne) 2. Be a Gloryhunter and choose Dundalk 3. Support your local anybody who supports their local is a true legend so support the LOI club nearest to you. * don't support these tinpot clubs Cabinteely UCD Finn Harps
Thank you, I’m living in Cabinteely so there is a few clubs in my area, I’m not gonna jump on the Dundalk bandwagon, I’d like the clubs support to be an underdog, have some heartbreak so when the good times come I’ll appreciate them a lot more. Thanks for the tips, very helpful 👍🏻
@@gazy10 yeh what ever you do don't support Cabinteely, their stadium is shite (if you can even call it a stadium it's a rugby pitch for Fuck sake) their literally the most tinpot club in LOI. I recommend supporting Shamrock Rovers not saying it because I support them but I have really strong feeling we're going to dethrone Dundalk and win the league this year.
Cork City all the way! Arguably the biggest club in the country, one of the most successful and have produced the likes of Meyler, Long, Doyle and Maguire. Disappointing last season for sure but that’s always going to happen at some point with LOI clubs. In terms of support we have the strongest fan base in the country and that is what saved us for liquidation back in 2010. We even had a video dedicated to us by Copa 90 a few years ago and appeared in their video of “6 clubs you have to visit before you die”. Mightn’t be the greatest option in terms of travel though!

You can’t choose at all , the club chooses you, it is a decision by fate ;)
Good topic for a video. Thousands of Irish football fans should be asked this question OR to support their local League of Ireland team.
Garry is gonna be with us for the season so he wants a club to support!
Support a team that reflects your own football philosophy on how the game should be played.
