Is there a difference between Cash and Investment made in the stock market? I could not differentiate. Or is stock investments included in the section where pension is mentioned?

There is! We have roughly $130k of cash and $73k in investments. Most of our investments right now are within our retirement accounts. Hope that helps clarify things. -Akeiva

Our combined net worth is at 232k excluding value of pensions and 2 paid off cars. We don’t own a home yet though!

Is there a reason for the music in the background?
I came across one of your tax video and found the info very useful. I’ve decide to listen to a few of videos but I find the music in the background distracting….hence the question.

Sorry that it’s distracting for you! Most people tend to find it engaging and fun, but we understand it’s not for everyone! We have also converted quite a few of our videos into podcast episodes that don’t have background music. Maybe that might be a better fit! Hello my favorite finance duo!
First and foremost, Thanks for sharing this - I really enjoy you guys net worth updates.
I'm not so interested in "why" you guys have so much cash, I'm really curious to "how" you guys are accumulating so much cash Qtr by Qtr (saving rate, all bonus, what's the secret sauce?).
Also how much do you guys earn now? It would be really cool to know your incomes now, what they were when you started, and how you've grown them since you starting working professionally (merit increases, promotions, or transitions to other companies)
(Of course since I've asked - I have to share as well lol)
Net worth: $417K (Equity in Property: $28K; Investments: $372K; Cash: $17K)
Income: $115k (base) : $11.5K (bonus): working for 9 years (the majority of my increases have come from moving companies or promotions)
I am married and household income: $198k (base)

Hey hey hey! This quarter, it was thanks primarily to side hustles, tax refunds, and my annual bonus from work. I think we’re going to get into more of what you’re saying in a video coming up pretty soon!
