    Shouldn't PaO2 be greater than 93 to be okay?

      That's SPO2 hun. PaO2 is between 80-100...obtained using ABGs

      Hi Nina!
      pH: 7.35-7.45
      Partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2): 75 to 100 mmHg
      Partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2): 35-45 mmHg
      Bicarbonate (HCO3): 22-26 mEq/L
      Oxygen saturation (O2 Sat): 94-100%

    I think the pt should lie on left side which will facilitate emptying the stomach as descending Colin goes left for waste !!!

      She specifically states that this aides in emptying the “stomach”, not the intestines. Are they all connected? Yes. But we are focusing on the emptying of stomach. 🤗
