Love your episodes, so real and raw. I appreciate that you guys don't sugarcoat everything. Really enjoying seeing more of Mr B's character coming through. There's a really impressive strength in your relationship to be able to pull through the crappy moments and still have a smile on your faces, kinda reminds me of Donna and I, we thought that way about you guys on the few occasions that we had the privilege of catching up with you both.
It was interesting to see the air museum, back in 1942 it was where my dad did his flight training in a Liberator Bomber before being stationed at Fenton near Adelaide river. They used to do 18 hour missions bombing Japanese bases in Borneo and shorter missions over New Guinea. In the late 1960s early 1970s we lived in the area (Shepparton) where he managed a bakehouse owned by Wise Brothers who also owned the flour mill in Tocumwal. Just a little side note 🤗
Your egg dish looks delightful. Years ago my family stayed on the Murray in a cabin owned by a colleague of my Dad. The Murray was going into flood. We had to try several ways out that were blocked by floodwater. Eventually we got bogged where a rivulet crossed the road. After trying packing the mud with sticks and bark to no avail eventually a vehicle came along and pulled us out. Eventually spent the night in a caravan park in Shepparton. It was a scary experience for an eight year old but I still love visiting the Murray
I was at Finley Beach on the Victorian side at Koonoomoo/Tocumwal 2 weeks ago, and it was beautiful, but it had rained a few days before, and big caravans had trouble getting in. Luckily, it dried up quickly.
I imagine both of you would have felt extra stressed on that road given your experience with the accident in (I think) your first van. You had a horrible fright. So glad you managed yourselves well and you’re all good now. ❤ I am enjoying your videos- thank you!
Another great and honest video. You show that life on the road is not all bells and whistles but it’s all part of life’s journey, take the good with the bad. Hopefully the bad is few and very far between.
I love watching your episodes only started just recently as hubby and I are thinking of selling up and hitting the road full-time. I would have been a total mess if this happened to us. Mr B had it under control though. Glad you got out safe! Look forward to your next episode.
You guy's are going too love the murray its a long one and around every bend is a whole new experience its an amazing live style along there all the towns are fantastic you might find a few free camp sites but keep them a secret please we dont want to loose them because off ferrals , happy travels enjoy and have a merry Christmas and a safe travelling new year 😊
For a weekend breaky I have a piece of thick cut 7 seeds toast ,smear with avocado then over the avocado spread cottage cheese, on top of that put a fried egg runny and a piece of thickly sliced well fried tomatoe on top of that with sriracha sauce ,add some fresh cracked pepper , I make two of these and they are super healthy
I make something similar which my kids called mushroom mess I put whatever vegetables I have in my fridge but my base is mushrooms so I start with the mushrooms and the add veggies the cheese and couple of eggs
what an adventure you both had this week -- made good viewing -- i really enjoyed it but i am sure there was a lot of stressful times for you both during the week. Loved your scrambled eggs --- they look really nice. Mr. B looked pretty laid back although he was probably quite stressing inside at times.
So glad you are both OK & you didn't reck the car & van. We thought oh poor Mr B, misses out on both his museum & his icecream that he loves. As usual we enjoyed the previous and this video ❤Lyn & Bobby 😊
Mr B you're confidence is Growing on the Camera . Magnificent stuff , soon we will see U running into the waters with Duck divers on ..... Merry Christmas to you and the family mate 🎄🎅Seasons greetings
Thanks, I have passed through Tocumwal on many occasions usually transiting from SA to Qld or vice a versa. You've whet my appetite so next time, I'll have to time the opening time for the strawberry farm and cafe, or camp until it opens. Thanks for showing us the result of the drone failure. They need to fit the battery with a parachute so it doesn't damage so much on landing. I didn't know about batteries expanding etc due to heat, I'm going to check all my battery packs for power tools. Good to see your adventures. I don't remember seeing the Aussie salute, flies can't be all that bad where you're at. Cheers.. Having said that about the flies, I just noticed in the last shot one buzzing you Mrs B. Perhaps it was trying to bring the "Karen" out in you. Sorry!
My wife and myself use this account and my wife has a question about how Mrs B keeps her hair looking so healthy, conditioned and frizz-free while travelling in Aussie humidity? We'd love hear how Mrs B gets her beautiful hair colour. We would also love to hear from Mr B which places serve the best ice cream in Australia. Does Mr B like sorbet? About your done, sometimes there are interfering frequencies which can knock drones out of the sky (if there's a nearby airport or restricted areas). Your videos are helping us out so much and your information is great. Thanks for your videos.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we are so glad you are enjoying our videos ! Well maybe I should do a quick insert next time about my hair .. honestly I was high maintenance before I left with colouring every few weeks but once we decided to start travelling I thought things need to change even as a hairdresser it’s still an extra expense so I started growing it out low maintenance now just use a good quality shampoo and conditioner! Mr B loves sorbet too and will start rating his experiences ☺️
That's a shame you didn't get to Ulupna Carter beach we camp and do day trips there all the time we love it. The bird life there is incredible and lots of koalas. Surprised you didn't go and do the Ulupna Island bird sculptures, the kookaburra, The cockatoos and The wedge tail eagle would of made great video. Also some great free camping at Nagambie long side Majors Creek as well. 👍 And as mentioned in last message Murchison 👍 Anyways have a great Xmas B&B 🌲🧑🎄
I just noticed your mains water inlet at 4.00 minutes, a great hack I heard of is to put a 16mm rubber chair leg cap over the irrigation fitting to stop dirt and dust ingress.
Another great video. That ice-cream looked delicious. I have recently bought some ice cream and it's really sweet too sweet, I won't buy that again. Its Ben and Jerry's Caramel brownie party, I mean I like 3 sugars in my coffees so me saying something is too sweet is usually unheard of ❤❤ xx
That was a stressful start for you both - happy you managed to get out in one piece! Your breaky looks delicious! I often do that, eggs with whatever needs using up from the fridge. Normal is overrated Mr B 😄 The Murray River has some beautiful places to visit. We spent Xmas in Echuca a few times when we had family there. It was always a nice drive stopping by all the little towns along the way.
We have had soooo much rain south Brisbane and the ground is so waterlogged, stay off mud tracks for a long time. Only once got bogged with my three angle loader horse float. Never again.
In SA in country towns tourist places are only mostly open on weekends thats the busy periods ,and in most places expesily in the city shops are shut because the staff want the public holiday off too to go camping and stuff they deserve it every one wants a weekend off expesily a plublic holiday one , and in Victoria too by the looks , i caught that big Cod ive got a photo somewhere off me standing in front of it with my fishing rod and a lure in its mouth 😂
Mrs B l hope your feeling better after all your mishaps, please don’t cry ,if your heading down to Victoria ,there is a nice free camping spot at Lake Burrumbeet south side near Ballarat but can be very packed out in holiday season as anywhere near the water in Vic is always busy . Merry Xmas to you both and families .
The rustic eggs looked very tasty Hey Mrs B where you were is only 1 hour to Rutherglen, one of the best wine regions in Australia and a cool little town
With the drone always wait until enough satellites are found before flying, after charging the batteries let them rest until they are back to ambient temperature and do not fly with a half discharged battery, but the big one is to turn on the RC before turning on the aircraft. Doing this will stop any stray radio signals causing potential problems. You may of been one of the unlucky ones and have had a genuine fly away - it happens. The precautions I have mentioned will minimize it happening again, but nothing if foolproof. I have clocked up 250 km flying distance with my Air 3 in the past 2 months with a maximum range of 4000 meters with no issues. I recommend getting an (android) app called "Drone weather" to ensure atmospheric conditions are good for flying. Sticking your wet finger in the air and thinking it is a bit windy, but I should be right may work for some, but real information removes any doubt. Best of luck with the new DJI. Safe travels.
@@gooddifferentadventures Just one last thought, about a month ago I had a pair of birds attack my drone (tis the time to be breeding), it may also be possible this is what caused the problem. Bird strike, broken prop, drone crash landing. If you do have birds attack the drone always head for the ground, birds cannot drop like a drone. Another quick tip, change your props out every 12 months or 200 hours of flying, micro fractures can and do lead to prop failure. We enjoy watching your shows when we are not traveling ourselves. We prefer the red sand country more than the eastern parts of Australia, but if our paths ever cross I will be sure to give you a G,day. Stay on the black stuff and only hit the dirt when intended.
Hey Mrs B, I think you’re in good hands with Mr B. A bit of weight wasn’t going to help in that situation. He needs the credit that was pure strength 👍. Again great video guys👍
Yes the batteries swell and then the heat of them in operation, they eject and bye bye drone. This happened in my case and I was unsure what had happened. The drone experts explained what happened with the battery. The battery should actually slide into the belly of the drone and not just clip in with two small lugs on top of the drone, anyway just IMO
I understand why you pulled the pin, but Where was this bad spot exactly so the rest of us don’t go down there ? That yellow plane was a crop duster, there’s no passengers getting in that, pilot only. Typical of post covid now in country towns, many attractions are no longer open during the week, or open only on limited days .
Always have both front and back legs facing back when up as if they fail when driving they will just scrape along rather than dig in and cause a lot of damage

The battery needs its own parachute thus landing softer than this one did.
@@gooddifferentadventures It is why I chose a different model where the battery slides into the belly of the drone :)

Thanks for watching! Apologies it was the tracks going into Ulupna Beach but wasn’t the easy short way as google sent us the wrong way 🫣
Wouldn`t it be better to have the rear steady legs folded forward, so less chance of them getting damaged. Cheers Gerard.
I think they would have more chance of damage facing forward getting hit on rough roads
Was just going to say the same , then I read your comment , I have mine the other way and haven’t damaged them .👍🏻
Always have both front and back legs facing back when up as if they fail when driving they will just scrape along rather than dig in and cause a lot of damage
YEA because now if they fall down they can jack the whole caravan in the air 😂😂😂😂 that would be a lot better
I think Legs folded up underneath van will help with departure angles
Maybe wait for the track to dry out, it might take a day or so
That would have helped
