@@jamestoddjackson9655 pele would never even amount to Messi in this era. The level of skills involved these days pele would’ve been at best a mid level striker. The guy counted his goals against military personnel, fishing crews, and guys who had regular jobs on Monday. He was lucky to have been born in the greatest era of Brazilian football with the likes of Zico and garrincha. No disrespect but compared to Messi I don’t think he’s even in the same conversation on skill or technique basis.

There might be real arguments about the best in basketball, but in football all arguments are fake or are brought about by fans of players. 19 year old Messi was already the best player in the world and 24 year old Messi was already the greatest of all time.

Thst was amazing. Thanks for posting. I've never seen that kind of ball handling anywhere else. I watched a couple dozen Barcelona games about, maybe, 7-8 years ago? He put on a clinic and made highlight reel plays in pretty much every game. Toise clips didn't focus on his passing at all. He'd make ridiculous, no look passes in the midst of those runs more often than taking a shot of his own.
His free kicks were unfair too. There wasn't a spot anywhere near the penalty box that he couldn't bury it from.
Loved the reaction as a football fan.

@crannkee55 they sure are and man that is tough playing in that wide of a field I feel bad for the goalies but someone has to be the one to protect the ball from going into the net and those nets are huge as well not an easy task to stop the ball from going in
@crannkee55 I agree completely with all that you just said just having to use your legs and feet to play a sport like soccer is very exhausting and only the ones who truly love the game of soccer and train themselves relentlessly can succeed in it just like in any other sport but yeah these soccer players are truly unbelievable

Isn't this like watching the Larry Bird of football? I am not talking about speed obviously, but since Messi couln't explode on his opponents due to his lack of strength, he couldn't use his body as an advantage, he had to use tricks to make them all deficiencies and confuse the crap out of them :)

Messi absolute close control, dribbling, passing, shooting, link up, dribbling twice,body checks! Ronaldo can shoot powerfully with both feet, shot power left and right, crazy heading, strength, chest control, stamina, finishing, speed, skills, Ronaldo chop, link up, there are many attributes! How can you say you know ball and then say there is not any single aspect Ronaldo is better than Messi? That’s a crazy statement! I respect both but Ronaldo is more complete!
@@derekberchie The only aspect of Ronaldo and Messi's game that is comparable is goalscoring. When you talk of being "complete" in football, that doesn't just apply to how many different ways you can score a goal or how athletic you are. Ronaldo is statistically a better goalscorer than Messi no doubt, but you can not say that he is more "complete" than Messi. Leo can do it all : the dribbling, the scoring (he actually has a better goal to game ratio than CR7), the assists, the passing is sublime, the freekicks. That's what complete means. Ronaldo is complete goalscorer and superior physically, but Messi is a "complete footballer".
Oh also, maybe Ronaldo at Man U could dribble similar to Messi with his chops and fancy footwork but after that, he pretty much became the goalscorer we know today. I

He is in the conversation of being the best goalscorer ever, the best dribler, the best playmaker, the best passer etc. He dominates everything in footbal except goals with the head (he score in a final of champions league with the head, yes against Ronaldo team).
