soweee this took a minute, I got lost in America for 20 days and 20 nights. they found my ass in a dennys in minnesota wearing nothing but a pair of snow white cowboy boots and a luger taped to my chest. i am gods greatest soldier
"This is really painting yourself into a corner." At this point, I'm pretty sure painting himself into a corner with impossible promises is Peter Molyneux's fetish.
The working situation in the studio behind The Day Before sounds like one of those Chinese sweatshops with mob ties where you can't quit or refuse to "volunteer" without potentially losing a few fingers, I hope the former staff can find employment somewhere at least a bit less exploitative.
Hey Pissboy Deluxe69! I don't know if this comment will make its way to you, but thanks for doing what you do. You mentioned at the end of the Steam's Worst Games video that you've been struggling with your mental health and the creative process, among other things that contributed to you making this channel. As someone who also deals regularly with mental gremlins, your content has been a consistent source of joy for me for several years now. Your humor and wit, be it in more traditional jokes or your style of editing, are exceptional and can manifest a laugh on even the most down and dark of days. It's not easy to filter out all the negativity and vitriol on the internet, but you're doing a great job! Thanks for all the top quality content over the years :)
There are but unfortunately Mollineux is so good at what he does he makes products capable of skirting the law. That said, I'm surprised the prize winner didn't take him to court.
"Can you imagine cosmetics you have to rent?!" DO NOT GIVE THE AAA INDUSTRY IDEAS!!!! EDIT: guys, I wasn't asking for examples of the AAA gaming industry being shit. See, back in the day, we had these things called "jokes"....
renting cosmetics makes me think of MapleStory back in the day. idk if their cash shop is still like that, but when I was a tween, that shit only lasted 3 months and then you had to rebuy it
Shoutouts to Benbo Quest, which was delisted from steam after changing its whole steam page to being for Team Fortress 3 It's on the Nintendo switch now
"Can you imagine cosmetics you have to rent?" Yes, actually I can. Counter Strike 2 had an update around the time this video was uploaded in which you could now rent a collection of skins, only the newest case but future cases will all have this feature, for the price of a case and a key. The community believes this is a preemptive work around to the supposed ban on cases/loot boxes in video games that China is planning and not so much a predatory monetization model.
14:58 I believe the only time he has a PR handler was towards the end of his run at Lionhead. If I remember correctly, Microsoft wan't to happy about him lying about Project Milo. Peter Molyneux is either a compulsive liar or a scam artist. Fable was the only time I fell victim. Was it a good game? Arguably. Was it anywhere close to what he promised? Obviously not, as I had exhausted the game's content in less than a week. The fact that he was eventually given a handler for PR speaks volumes.
I used to play scram back in the day, it was a genuinely fun little experience. Fun to see somebody cover all of the development drama and the shrek gag
The day before devs are back running a Kickstarter scam now asking for more money and promising that this time they'll be honest and good boys and not scam everyone with a barely functional asset flip scam.
something funny about scram, i was actually pretty close with Quire for a while because he was a mod on the discord server for the game Raft. he randomly dissapeared one day and I never knew why. this is how i found out lol
He's been doing that since Populous II. How the hell does that charlatan keep getting funded? Meanwhile there's hundreds of really promising projects that are flying under the radar because Molyneux and other piss artists are busy chatting absolute shite as always.
If there's another game you could talk about that no longer can be bought is Domina, a game made by a developer gone completely crazy post-pandemic. He started to add weird patch notes that basically condoned his audience to not wear masks and it became clear he was tinfoil-hatting a lot to the point he really needed some real help. The only reason the game got taken down was because he made the "one joke" towards trans people and Steam got really angry at that.
@Pc_98_Fan Oh, you said he made the "(they only have) one joke" which would be "...then I can identify as an attack helicopter," missing the point of self-determining gender altogether.
gotta keep in mind a LOT of russian men suddenly became game developers to avoid going to war, there is a georgia rabbit hole to go down but I wouldn't recommend it.
i know i'm pretty late to see this video, but I never thought anyone would talk about scram again. I was offered by one of the developers to be in a trailer but I cannot find it anywhere anymore. I wish I could find it again as I can assure you I'm not lying I was in the trailer lol. they seemed like chill dudes when I did talk to them but unfortunately both the original discord server and my original account has since been deleted.
My favourite part of the whole _The Day Before_ debacle is that they said they never claimed the game would be an MMO or a sandbox game when the first trailers literally calls it an open-world MMO. Also, glad tos ee that the nrothers in charge, who argue it's not a scame because they "didn't take anyone's money" (which is a lie), demanded fines from the workers, who did nothing wrong.
Man ever since the reveal trailer I knew The Day Before wasn't real. Called that shit from the start. The game was like that because they cobbled it together in like 9 months
I didn't really pay it any attention back when it came out, but watching it now, it's pretty obviously fake. Kinda difficult to understand why everyone got so hyped up.
if you ever hear of someone plagiarizing an advert (not copying an advertisement strategy or an angle for marketing a product, but literally STEALING OTHER ADS’ WORDS) there is a ballpark 0% chance it’s a good product, and a decent likelihood it’s an outright scam. someone with the resources and/or the talent to make a good product is not going to steal words from others to advertise that product, for many reasons.
Really surprised you didn't talk about Digital H...I'm not gonna type that second word because filters can be weird. But maybe you felt Knudsen did enough. If anyone is curious for more games like this, check out the Down The Rabbit Hole vids about it.
Guess I'm not playing godus again on mobile, eh id gotten bored of it anyway, at a certain point its too hard to be fun to get past (when free to play-ing anyway, oh i wonder why). Also despite it feeling like a game that would work way better as a mobile game it also plays like a game that wasnt ported well from desktop to mobile at all imo
I bought Godus shortly after release, not knowing about the whole cube business. It looked like a simplified, low energy game you could play casually so I didn't really have much in the way of expectations. I have to say, I've played a fair few of Mollineux's games, and the Black and White series is in my top five of all time, but even this actively disappointed me. It was every word for boring in the dictionary but i believe a very fitting cap to his legacy as an over hyping twat.
Amazing how he could never deliver anything as unique, smart, and ambitious as Black and White 1. That game was leagues ahead of NPC AI in the early 2000's with how you would train your creature. Black and White 2 was an okay city-builder with weak RTS aspects and horrifically boring side quests. Fable 1 was decent, but massively under-delivered what was promised. Creative man, but so full of shit.
If you ever do another one like this you should check out 'Domina' Actually pretty cool game, but got delisted do to the dev putting sexist and hate speech in the game updates........ And in the patch notes
I actually tried the Godus mobile version before, it's okay but so heavily monetized that within an hour or so of playing you're just kinda paywalled out of the rest of the game
YEAH i remember i played it all the time on my mom's ipad as a kid (like, 2014ish) and i loved it, but grew bored of it after a while since everything was so hard to get without paying money (and god knows my 8 yr old ass wasn't asking my mom "can i buy some funny pink orbs in the ipad game" LMAO)
As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing wrong with making grandiose plans for games. What you don't do, and here's where ol' Petey boy kept failing, is make grandiose PROMISES. Plans can change, but people expect promises to be kept!
soweee this took a minute, I got lost in America for 20 days and 20 nights. they found my ass in a dennys in minnesota wearing nothing but a pair of snow white cowboy boots and a luger taped to my chest. i am gods greatest soldier
Wow
At least you came a lot.
Wow, you were in America and didn't die? Congrats!
@SubPriestPepsi Making a lot of assumptions there.
Sounds like my prom. It was soooo good
Dude the bit about the Day Before Dev demanding a game change because he played Spider-Man 2 is so funny.
Oh I CAN imagine a game where you pay real money to rent premium cosmetic items. I grew up playing MapleStory.
"This is really painting yourself into a corner."
At this point, I'm pretty sure painting himself into a corner with impossible promises is Peter Molyneux's fetish.
It really is amazing. Every time he fails, he promises he won't make any more impossible promises, then just instantly does it again.
Peter Molynuex is a real life Micahel Scott. "Theres uh....a surprise. Its amazing....promise. Its....life changing.
To be fair, had Godus been really good, that kind of money could be potentially life changing.
The working situation in the studio behind The Day Before sounds like one of those Chinese sweatshops with mob ties where you can't quit or refuse to "volunteer" without potentially losing a few fingers, I hope the former staff can find employment somewhere at least a bit less exploitative.
15:18 If only the cube revealed "Not Like Us", it might've worked out.
Oh no way! I've matched with you on Grindr so many times (multiple accounts for speed running purposes). Now I'm matching with you on RUclips!
You have great taste then
speedrunning purposes is killing me LMAO
9:11 someone played Shrek 5 for 57 minutes
At least the title was honest. The game was made The Day Before it was released.
Hey Pissboy Deluxe69! I don't know if this comment will make its way to you, but thanks for doing what you do.

It's not easy to filter out all the negativity and vitriol on the internet, but you're doing a great job! Thanks for all the top quality content over the years :)
lol the dev 'accidentally' making the payments recur daily is a genius scammer, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
45 days? Still lasted longer than Concord.
That "Matress" poster is killing me. I need that. Kudos backgrounds rule. Especially his BeefBoys backgrounds.
4:56 The random Twomad jumpscare. I swear like when looking back at old tweets the guy just randomly pops up.
What's the story on that account?
@itxihe died
@Emperor_Ace he had it coming too
@Lenn869 Wouldn't go that far, dude was a pos but that doesn't mean he deserved to die
At this point, why isn't Mollineux in jail? The man has been selling snake oil for 25 years now. Aren't there consumer laws in the UK?
Because his snake oil is made with actual snakes... It still does nothing
There are but unfortunately Mollineux is so good at what he does he makes products capable of skirting the law. That said, I'm surprised the prize winner didn't take him to court.
nope, we are trying to change consumer laws about video games, check stopkillinggames, but in the EU, not the UK... sorry
He's rich. The rich are basically never punished.
Thats why i had shrek on my library. I dont remember ever downloading a shrek game. That explains alot
7:47 I love amateur wikis
Lmfao I remember scram, I also remember how confused I was when “shrek 5” was in my library
Looking at the posters on your wall makes me feel like I’m having a stroke
Oh yeah btw, the whole "renting microtransactions" thing came from maplestory. Nearly every single cosmetic from the cash shop had a rental date.
For just $25 you could make your character look cooler for 3 whole months. What a steal!
ManyKudos, congratulations on your new position as an EA executive
This is hilariously common in older Korean games actually.
oh jesus he predicted the new cs update
korean games are already like that lmao
This actually happened with a game I used to play in high school called S4 League.
renting cosmetics makes me think of MapleStory back in the day. idk if their cash shop is still like that, but when I was a tween, that shit only lasted 3 months and then you had to rebuy it
Its rare to see someone have so much fun talking about games so horrible. Love seeing you have fun.
Jumpscare at 2:36
It's like Orson Welles' parrot in Citizen Kane. This is truly one of the videos of all time.
Jesus christ that scram game, what an absolute dumpster fire, can't stop laughing to myself over the sheer trainwrek
Shoutouts to Benbo Quest, which was delisted from steam after changing its whole steam page to being for Team Fortress 3
It's on the Nintendo switch now
"Can you imagine cosmetics you have to rent?" Yes, actually I can. The fucking burp gave me a heart attack
14:58 I believe the only time he has a PR handler was towards the end of his run at Lionhead. If I remember correctly, Microsoft wan't to happy about him lying about Project Milo. The man’s got a fat mouth either way lol
I feel like fable is good in spite of Peter Molyneux even if they are pretty short overall
God i remember randomly looking in my steam library and seeing shrek 5. I was incredibly confused
I used to play scram back in the day, it was a genuinely fun little experience. Fun to see somebody cover all of the development drama and the shrek gag
Wow I didn't even know how deep the Day Before rabbit hole is and I watched videos about it.
10:18 Yes, I can imagine that because plenty of Korean MMOs I have played do that. For example Maplestory has many paid items that last 90 days.
I have Godus! It makes me sad, i was looking forward to what it would become and then... Didn't
The fact the Day Before devs are still active says it all about modern gaming
Really enjoying this format! You can really tell you’re enjoying this more and it’s great to see, feels much more “you”, keep it up mate!
Scram genuinely had the KKK and Nazis in it. It was just an edgy joke game, really.
Does that Matrix poster say Matress?
So….Twomad is haunting Kudos?
The day before devs are back running a Kickstarter scam now asking for more money and promising that this time they'll be honest and good boys and not scam everyone with a barely functional asset flip scam.
As someone who played Godus the world isn't missing much
something funny about scram, i was actually pretty close with Quire for a while because he was a mod on the discord server for the game Raft. he randomly dissapeared one day and I never knew why. this is how i found out lol
7:28 I remember IGN UK podcast said it was just going to be a video of Peter Molyneux playing with himself when the cube was unlocked 😂
He's been doing that since Populous II. How the hell does that charlatan keep getting funded? Meanwhile there's hundreds of really promising projects that are flying under the radar because Molyneux and other piss artists are busy chatting absolute shite as always.
Kia Ora ManyKudos!
4:59 AWEEEEE DAMN IT😭 Tortured souls will life for ever on Twitter
I remember playing Godus on mobile when I was like 8, it felt like every other mobile game
Wow I had completely forgotten about Godus I actually really enjoyed it
Low key, play snowrunner
The _Shrek 5_ joke could've waited until this year 😂
If there's another game you could talk about that no longer can be bought is Domina, a game made by a developer gone completely crazy post-pandemic.

The only reason the game got taken down was because he made the "one joke" towards trans people and Steam got really angry at that.
He said something about an aerial combat vehicle?
@cagliostronomics No as far as I remember, I only remember the edgy political stuff he whined on during his patch notes
@Pc_98_Fan Oh, you said he made the "(they only have) one joke" which would be "...then I can identify as an attack helicopter," missing the point of self-determining gender altogether.
177 countries have been banned from a game. Is this a new low score?
Greasy Gooner, let's go!!!
Nice to see a poster of the 1999 epic blockbuster, ‘Matress’.
gotta keep in mind a LOT of russian men suddenly became game developers to avoid going to war, there is a georgia rabbit hole to go down but I wouldn't recommend it.
You cant stop me
i know i'm pretty late to see this video, but I never thought anyone would talk about scram again. I was offered by one of the developers to be in a trailer but I cannot find it anywhere anymore. 0:23 "Like, like a roller coaster"
What are you talking about
45 days for the Day Before, that's better than Concord did!
I miss scram so much
How do you not have more subs?
Boy would concord love a word with this list
i used to play o2jam competitively lol, it was nowhere near that bad back in the heyday
Love the format, buddy. Keep it up
My favourite part of the whole _The Day Before_ debacle is that they said they never claimed the game would be an MMO or a sandbox game when the first trailers literally calls it an open-world MMO. Also, glad tos ee that the nrothers in charge, who argue it's not a scame because they "didn't take anyone's money" (which is a lie), demanded fines from the workers, who did nothing wrong.
Godus was such a good game, still mad that it got ruined.
Hope the trip to the USA was good! Glad to see you back
Who are you? Your brilliant and im mad I only just found you. This is like my 4th video. Man your so epic
I love the fable games. Also you should do a video on sea of thieves lol
Kudos to that barbaric burp, my man.
Mideo Kudjima strikes again.
Day Before lasted longer than Concord
13:30 excuse me it’s pronounced “Doo Doo Can”
great video manykooldos
Man ever since the reveal trailer I knew The Day Before wasn't real. Called that shit from the start. The game was like that because they cobbled it together in like 9 months
I didn't really pay it any attention back when it came out, but watching it now, it's pretty obviously fake. Kinda difficult to understand why everyone got so hyped up.
@OrgaNik_MusicThe average person is just kinda dumb and gullible.
I may have never made a successful game, but at least I've never scammed anyone
Man I'm still sad about Godus, I loved the little bit we had
Never knew any of the back story though, explains why it was full of weird commentary
Fable: TLC is my all-time favourite game. I hope they can recatch the magic of Fable 1 in Fable 4
the greasy WHAT?
Peter Molyneux making grandiose claims? Never!
Kinda prefer this over your main channel
if you ever hear of someone plagiarizing an advert (not copying an advertisement strategy or an angle for marketing a product, but literally STEALING OTHER ADS’ WORDS) there is a ballpark 0% chance it’s a good product, and a decent likelihood it’s an outright scam. someone with the resources and/or the talent to make a good product is not going to steal words from others to advertise that product, for many reasons.
Damn... i really thought this was your room.
until the hands at the end of the vid :D.
so naive :D
Really surprised you didn't talk about Digital H...I'm not gonna type that second word because filters can be weird. But maybe you felt Knudsen did enough. If anyone is curious for more games like this, check out the Down The Rabbit Hole vids about it.
Let’s GOON bro
Ah, I completely forgot you had this channel too
What is the main channel?
nice chill video, im gessing much easier to produce that the main channel stuff but still pretty nice
Thank you Kudos, Very nice
Guess I'm not playing godus again on mobile, eh id gotten bored of it anyway, at a certain point its too hard to be fun to get past (when free to play-ing anyway, oh i wonder why). I remember Godus on mobile. I think it was interesting but not really all that great or very deep.
fun vid, I enjoyed it. 😊😊
Oh damn. I played that god game on mobile! It was alright. Fun time waster.

"Main channel video" - I didn't realize that this is a second channel. What is the name of the main channel?
missed a good 3 minutes of the video because I was trying to figure out if the mario 64 poster back there actually said big penis or not
As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing wrong with making grandiose plans for games. What you don't do, and here's where ol' Petey boy kept failing, is make grandiose PROMISES. Plans can change, but people expect promises to be kept!
Anyone have a download link to Shrek 5? I love that donkey

Your will energy is low. Watch that.
