I remember when we use to do cross countrys when it was to cloudy to do other stuff. The pilot would circle the airport so we would know where we were going. Fun days.
My brother and i used to do CRW jumps, what a blast. I remember seeing his tennis shoes walking across the top of my canopy. Loved landing the biplane, the chicks loved it 😊 there weren't really any instructors when i went to Free fall, i was pretty much on my own. No licenses to worry about, just showup with your gear and get on a load. My parachute wasn't even technically legal in the USA. It was Canadian made and hadnt been inspected for use in th US. It was nice gear, i never had an issue.
I did my first tandem in July of 2022. After we landed I said screw it, sign me up. I am now at 123 jumps and two weeks away from quitting my job to move out to the DZ. 🤙🤘✌️
@@WiscoMantra AWESOME! Enjoy every moment of it and keep posting videos so us old farts can enjoy as well. lol. I graduated army airborne school in 1988 and free fall school in 1990. We didn’t have any of the video capabilities you guys have now days. I’m thoroughly enjoying the videos and subscribing to you now. Blue skies! 🪂🫡
@WiscoMantra I'm in a similar position myself. Ready to make the move to my home DZ, but it'll be years before I can realistically make the career change. What type of work do you plan on doing at the DZ, if you don't mind me asking?
@@nathanlee3233 I will be packing parachutes and doing ground crew work in return for money and free jumps. Start at the bottom and work your way up. The free housing is cool too. 😁 My next gig will be camera flying. I’m far from a lot but I’ll get there eventually.
They call it the blind man and I don’t suggest doing it. But basically you swing your body around 180 degrees and hold your risers as you are flying “backwards” and can’t see where you’re going.
It’s called a high pull. It lets you fly around without other canopy traffic. I can get aggressive with my canopy without having to worry where everyone else is.

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings..."
Been years, but at Homestead my favorite was a high hop n pop at sunset around ten grand, and go down with the sun setting over the Everglades.❤
Amazing! Where is it? I can't wait. AFF booked for June!
I jump at Skydive Spaceland Atlanta. Good luck with your AFF, remember to ARCH!! 😁😎🤘🤙
I miss Spaceland Atlanta. It was a fun place to work. You really need to pull the slider down and have a slider keep around your rig.
Blue skies brother! Maaaaaan, I miss flying that ram-air canopy…. (Retired USPA C license holder loaded with spinal titanium from GWOT).

Very cool, got 75 jumps, meaning to do one of these soon. what's the idea behind the deliberate half line twist around 4 min?

@@WiscoMantralove it! yeah, I better not try that
Wow, such a windy day

@@WiscoMantra cool deal, I'll stick to keeping my feet on the floor. I dont even clean my gutters.

Try it!
You're gonna die, anyway!😅
