Born in 1970, i grew up with the legendary music of the 70s and 80s. My favorite era of music is the 60s and 70s. So to be short, i absolutely don't like music of today. I think it's simple, cheap, and has NO soul what so ever. But then came Röyksopp.... The electronic music they make is NOT simple, is NOT cheap, but is made with LOVE, HEART and SOUL
I could have written that word for word. Born 10:08:1970. National UK radio stations really haven't got a clue. I've been privileged to have grown up listening to some truly amazing music. But sadly there's no incentive to create amazing music for radio anymore. This track is simply sublime.

Have to believe ABBA would be proud of Royksopp. This song calls back to great northern European pop innovations. Half of this song has its foot in 1976, roller skates, and disco. The other is in the 2020s, looking back at the paths we've travelled with love and melancholy. Royksopp is an absolute gem.
Fortunately there's still some bands making great music, not the mainstream crap being pushed to the masses....awesome song! Greetings from Costa Rica!
Bruh... Those high pitch tones in "Oh my lover..." are such an exquisite part... Heart shattering to say the least. Love her voice to heaven and beyond.
I dont know why, but this one make me cry. is a melancholy pushed foward by life, like, no time to cry for an older love, for a memory... just keep moving. 😥😥💔💔 Sweet spot on this sound design ♥
First time I played it I was hooked. I have to play it over and over again. Highly addictive song. And the voice of Susanne Sundfør, whom I had never heard before, is simply spellbinding. ❤️
@@andrijanal5842Very addictive indeed, I was streaming it for about 8 hours straight, no joke, and I didn't ever realize it was that long. I really abused listening to the song and after 8 hours I was still craving for more... it's madness
Discovering this song was like finally finding a song from the 80s that I loved at that time but spent a lifetime without listening to it and I finally found it. I've been listening to it on repeat for hours.
I just can't express how beautiful this music is. It's beyond dreamy, beyond lovely. I discovered Royksopp 5 years ago via Robyn and I am permanently hooked. I use their music for initiating lucid dreaming. For some reason certain music just kicks my dreaming into overdrive. It's at a point now where I prefer having these lucid dreams over my living life, the dreaming is that strong. I rarely have nightmares because in general I am not afraid of anything. Except being lonely and not having someone for me to love and be loved back. And that's the issue because I have lost the only 2 people I have loved (my mother and brother) in the last few years, and who I have been taking care of for nearly 20 years. I sacrificed everything to take care of them, even a love life. It's all been for nothing, I sacrificed my living of my life to help them, and now I'm 53 with nothing but dreams to pass the time. I'm not attractive anymore, my teeth are all gone (lost half of them in a car accident 10 years ago and couldn't afford to fix them all), and I just can't seem to catch a break. My only solace through the years was reading, lots and lots of reading, and of course music. I thought that I was being a stoic and tried to explain my loneliness as just part of being a Stoic. But I was fooling myself. I was just lying to myself, trying to convince myself that it was OK and that I wasn't normal. So music, especially songs like this, help me a lot, at least in fantasy and wish fulfillment, to help me get another day under my collar before I meet the big nothing. Because when I hear music this angelic, this wonderful, it gives me some hope that maybe I might get a shot at a life where I loved someone as deeply as I they loved me. It's a beautiful fantasy, and sometimes I wake from the dream crying.
Everytime i hear a sweet voice like her, singing wonderful songs like this,am feeling as a child again ☺️🙋🇬🇷Bravo Royksopp,Bravo Norwegian people.❤🇧🇻❤️
This is maybe my favorite Röyksopp song. There are so many good ones, but this one truly resonates with me... the way the beat slows down... the way the melody progresses... Susanne's mesmerizing voice... For a few moments I can let the daily struggle go and just vibe along.
