At least looking at first level, I like time preview more. It would have just been a guessing game and probably an auto fail otherwise, but with time preview you had to work for it and watching a struggle's more fun than watching a random guess.
I was skeptical at first about if I liked seeing the WR but because the runs didn’t die early there was the extra added suspense of running out of lives which I quite liked.
Reading the WRs at the beginning of a level is an incredibly powerful tool and is fun to study as well. You can actually use it to do some blind jumps if you anticipate that the end is closeby if you've been playing the level nearly perfectly so far. Furthermore, in easy endless I can determine whether or not it's worth it to play the level or not at the beginning of the level in order to maximize my clears per hour (though this also applies to normal and maybe even expert as well but SE not so much) . If you're interested at all, this might be a nice read github.com/dsteves8000/MM2Optimization
I disagree, then you'll know he'll beat it. If you enjoy watching a guy complete multiple levels consecutively then leave because the whole point of not knowing is to see the reaction.
I think it depends on the challenge. If the runs depends on WR then you can look at it. But if it's a "chill" run just beat the level once they come back if you missed WR.
I actually like both of these formats, but probably prefer the "Have to WR" over "No WR=Run Over" just because it's fun to see how he optimizes things. Same reason the WR sniping series is so great to watch.
Oh I made it to RUclips and I didn't even know! Too bad I can't double like the video. It was a fun stream all around with it's ups and downs. Hope everyone else had fun too, I was upset at some of the deaths and I wasn't even playing.
Knowing the WR makes it more interesting to watch for sure. That way you know what you're up against, instead of just guessing every time how optimized any particular WR is. Edit: Yeah, it definitely feels more fair seeing a run end because you ran out of lives trying to get WR, versus not getting WR because you didn't know it was really optimized.
I think it's more interesting when you don't know the world record beforehand. Though, since it's kinda hard to avoid seeing the record (or at least annoying to avoid it) I'd prefer it with you looking it up during the level, like in this video.
Much prefer the (newer?) format where you just clear it and if it isn't the record you go get the WR before continuing. The way here, you're stopping before flag, checking time, throwing away lives and feels like you can't really optimise it as freely.
Panga shocked at the records.. We don't all play extremely difficult levels, I mainly play levels from new levels, it's like 5% hard, 20% trash, 40% a hold right and jump (WR strats) and 40% very poorly made levels

i love it much more when u can see the record.
isak Ich auch
@@Silent. im gonna pretend that i know german and that that translates to: isak you are a god.
Agree
isak no it means me too. I think that cause ich means I I forgot auch tho
Thicc_Boi_Matt auch means also, but in the context of my sentence (I also) means me too
I don’t even know why I wrote in German

Knowing the time before hand adds more tension in a real way rather than guessing as a viewer. Best one of the series so far.

"youtube is now breathing manually" god dammit, skilltron567
He got me too
Do it more and more this content is NEW that’s why we LOVE it ❤️
Panga is really getting addicted to these SMM2 world records.
I'd say expert and up you can see the record before hand. That's just my take
This is the best format, panga
I cannot believe how underrated you are. I love your contact dude, keep it up.
That "What Lurks Beneath" level was actually pretty cool
Great series! I like this a lot more now that you know the time to beat.

It’s too rdm or rng when you can’t see the world record, so I like knowing it beforehand
Yes, thankyou for this i think its more interesting if you know

The best thing is the chat singing bohemian rhapsody
I think you should try and avoid seeing it but do what you gotta do. Also I think Expert is the perfect difficulty and the right number of lives.
More EEbiidgwrtrd's! It's abbreviates so nicely.
I think seeing the times works perfectly here
Yooooooo! I don't want to spoil for ppl reading chat, but that was some crazy shit at 34:24.
I like that you check the time, but maybe add a rule that if you see it isn't cleared yet, you skip that level.
Seeing the wr is definitely more entertaining.

More time preview PLEASE
hecking cool gamer guy
much better knowing the world record going into the level.
Great job!
Hey Panga love the new intro!

ya baby!
Penga you should do it where you know the world record but only have like 3 attempts or so to beat it with world record if not run is over
Thank you skilltree367 who made me breath manually.
25:00 why not use shell to break the p switch wall and do it in one p cycle
In classic Mario you can't hold shells right?
Thumbs up for 17:00
At the level by 25 why you didnt destroy the blocks with a koopa shell?
Much prefer the (newer?) format where you just clear it and if it isn't the record you go get the WR before continuing. The way here, you're stopping before flag, checking time, throwing away lives and feels like you can't really optimise it as freely.
I miss the suspense when you didn't look at the world record time lol
Panga is my dad.
Panga: What the hell are you?
People who optimized the level: Death.
I prefer these rules 👍🏼
Panga shocked at the records..

Mario maker sounds fun
I tried Expert for the first time a few days ago and every level was pixel perfect jump or millisecond timer. . .
Whats the problem with the live viewers that keep saying "!bankheist *random number* "?
Hey Panga!!!
My vote: See the record first.
What a guy
a fellow moonmoon sub moon2SH
What about an only skips run? You get one life per level and if you die then you have to skip and go the next level.
❤👍🐼
Cool
