Well i can't really disagree with you because i was actually expecting jennie to show up at the MET in a very fancy and elegant attire but she literally looked like rosè but her dress was in the opposite colours even though MET GALA has become an event in which celebrities show up and make a fool out of themselves by dressing up in the most horrible outfits and it looks more like a costume or Halloween party. Kpop Idols just don’t fit to the met gala. I‘m sorry to say this but it‘s true. Kpop and met doesn’t go hand in hand AT ALL. And it‘s really annoying how Hollywood tried to incorporate them into Hollywood although they have no talent and come from a pretty conservative and different culture just because they have massively many fans. Like BTS never fit in when they came to America as well, heck they couldn’t even speak English. They were so awkward and didn’t belong. At least Blackpink seems to fit in much better than Bts but that‘s probably because Rose and Jennie both lived a long time outside of Korea and speak English fluently. I just still think that kpop and Hollywood doesn’t match or go together. And they need to stop inviting kpop idols to the met gala. It‘s weird and just doesn’t fit. I assume that‘s why they chose boring outfits, because they don’t want to get into trouble in their country for dressing like „sluts“.

Well i can't really disagree with you because i was actually expecting jennie to show up at the MET in a very fancy and elegant attire but she literally looked like rosè but her dress was in the opposite colours even though MET GALA has become an event in which celebrities show up and make a fool out of themselves by dressing up in the most horrible outfits and it looks more like a costume or Halloween party. But since jennie is known for being a human chanel i thought she was gonna show up in an iconic chanel look but she looked very basic and plain in that dress i mean i didn't want her to dress up like other celebrities in weird costumes...i wanted her to wear something that actually looked iconic and fancy with elegance and glamorous vibes but it just looked like they made her wear a plain white dress with a few accessories and a ribbon and nothing more so yeah it was very boring.....i mean if you take a look at Song Hye-kyo she literally looked fabulous and just soo pretty but jennie just looked so boring and plain. So yeah jennie's look was quite unattractive and definitely not something I'd appeal for.

If she was wearing colored stocking and/gloves it would have been a bit better. A black to aumbre red studded with pearls. Also with a hair/hat piece. Maybe a huge golden knecklace piece or even better a clunky pearl chocker (to be on brand with the theme). Or if they had styled her with a faux collar attached with nit/see through sleeves And shades. It would have been better if they didn't style her like the runway look. But juiced the look up.

It looks so pretty on the model who first wore it, I don’t think it really fits Jennie too well cause her visuals stand out with darker color. but at least she was on theme. They could’ve at least added some accessories that would make Jennie stand out more. If i would’ve had the chance to swap Rosé’s 2022 met gala outfit with Jennie’s 2023 outfit it would’ve been better (Hence the dresses will still look ugly but it will make them look better.)

i actually think this was really cute and matches the theme and is authenticity chanel. i feel like a lot of y’all don’t know a lot about fashion history or how the MET works, yes it might be a bit simple but it’s 100% on theme. i agree rosé's 2021 outfit was just boring though but least jennie matched the theme and gave authentic chanel. i feel like everyone’s expecting them to wear big ball gowns but if i’m being honest i think that would swallow the blackpink girls out their stylists are playing it safe but it works. i can’t see them being able to pull off extravagant gowns like alot of people wear at the met cause they don’t have the curves or height to do it justice they would be swallowed out.

As per the interview she said "its comfortable I can sit down", one who is too invested in fashion should know its not about comfortableness, this look of her is suitable for fashion events but met gala n cannes are the place where its all about adapting to weird, good and bad designs all combined together.
Being comfortable should be the last thing in mind for this event.
We've seen kpop idols with shorts n dresses millions of times, so them dressing up the same for this... Its obvious ppl will say the outfit is basic.
Changes should be done either to outfit or the hair n accessories, everything being simple will look bland. Jennie did serve this but for this event it's a big no.
