    I’ve heard mixed reviews about this loco! I have the exact same model which I’m very pleased with.
    I friend at my club has had to send his one back, which ran an performed well at first but then went wrong and he’s had to send it back!
    I have a Manor which is lovely but needs an update to make the sound, sound better!
    My Deltic says in the shed as every time I run it , some detail or other comes off!
    If this is where the hobby should be then it saddens me!😢

      Yes I agree with you that quality control seems to be a common issue across all the manufacturers! Possibly because their mass produced in large quantities??

    I received my 37s last week one of which was a blue one which when I tried it when you started the engine it fired up and then died. Got in touch with Accurascale and they told me to alter the CV63 to 150 and now sounds perfect. The lights all work and haven't touched the the switches. Just ran out straight out of box

      Interesting - mine ran with full sound for around an hour then fell silent but still running. I haven't had time to investigate it, this is useful, many thanks.

      @@michaelwhiles5282 Thanks. No problem. I had also D6703 at the same time. No problem but the blue 37 had this problem. But now sorted didn't want to do anything until I heard from Accurascale as if I had to return it it would probably affect the guarantee.

    Hi, a cracking loco, I have just received D6702, which is very similar to yours, they are just amazing. You said you took the chip out to set the switches as per the instructions..........Were they set correctly or did they need altering. I just assumed mine were set for the ESU decoder from the factory........Just curious................All the best Dave.

      I assumed the same as yourself, and I decided to check and good job I did as they were not set as specified on my loco!

      @@railwaydays7596 Oh, that's interesting, I'll have to check mine now...............although it all seems to function as it should. Got me thinking! Thanks for your reply, all the best Dave.

    Many years ago Hornby had 'synchrosmoke' for its steam locos. A great system although unfortunately it made everything sticky due to the oil necessary to make it work. I wonder if a manufacturer will be able to overcome that in some way, and start including 'clag' for diesels? When I watched this video and heard the engine start, I almost expected to see plumes of black clag erupting from the vents.

      TRS Trains does a service of fitting DCC sound locos with smoke (water vapour) synchronised to the sounds. They’ve done it for both steam & diesel.

      Hornby is coming back with smoke units early next year which will also be pre-fitted to sound models of the LNER 2007, BR 60103 “Flying Scotsman” & LMS 44726. This will be water vapour also

      Yes that would be great. I know dapol have a smoke unit in there class 59s so that could be coming sooner than we think! Let's hope so anyway!! 😃

    Hi
    I spoke to accurascale regarding the dcc switches and they said if you have a dcc sound fitted loco the switches should be set at the factory so you don't have to remove the decoder hope this helps

      @railwaydays7596  10 месяцев назад

      Mine was set as per the analogue when received, not the sound fitted one, so just be aware of that!

      Did you sought your lights out?

    Hi All, has anyone had issues with the lights not working? I receive 37001 last week, and none of the lights work. I’ve checked the switches under the Loksound chip and they are set correctly. Really frustrating as it’s a superb model.

      I had issue with the sound as when the engine started up it fired up then died. Got in touch with Accurascale who told me to change CV63 to 150 and it now works perfectly.

    Hi
    Did you sort out the problem with your lights?

    • @railwaydays7596
      @railwaydays7596  10 месяцев назад

      Yes, sort of, and they were just very dim. The problem at the moment is I can't seem to get the drivers desk light off in the cab! 😔
