We made plans to celebrate Christmas through camping for a change. We chose one of the coldest places in the Philippines.
It took us 12 hours to get there-3 hours of zigzagging up the mountain and crossing several other mountains to reach the place.
It was unexpected since they said the temperature was only around 13 degrees. I thought it would be fine since we’ve experienced negative temperatures before. So, we only brought regular jackets. But as soon as we got off the vehicle to register, we were already shivering from the cold.
For those asking if a sedan can make it, let me tell you-it’s not possible. During our trip, even large vehicles got stuck along the way.
    Entrance fee: 😂😂😂
    Entrance for DENR -200/head
Camp Fee for DENR - 100/head
    LGU -300/head
    Brgy.fee -50/head
    Campsite-150/head per night
    Parking fee -200/car
Yes, that's how expensive the entrance fee is. I don’t understand why there are so many fees to pay to the DENR and LGU, and take note, it’s even more expensive than the campsite itself. Also, keep in mind that the campsite is private property.
    Recommendations:
If you really want to visit this place, I suggest going during summer, not during the Amihan or rainy season, so you can fully enjoy it. In our case, since it was Amihan season, the wind was strong, and it kept raining. The sun would come out for just a few minutes, and then it would rain again.
But all in all, it was still a great experience since we enjoyed being surrounded by nature.
