So my mom and i found the old hermitcraft sever and she understands why i love the series, we found your building and she wants me to tell you she loves the chandelier you made!
It honestly makes me so happy how much you and Skizz love Bop. I think it was the first song Ely released after I became friends with him, so it's kinda special. Also it is, as the name implies, a bop.
OH MY GOSH i was watching this at work and didn't expect the Skizzleman bop and I had to cover my mouth with both hands to keep from laughing too loud 😂 that's amazing!!! Skizz is the best!!!
As a massive fan of the band "Men Without Hats" and i mean that sincerely, there is something familiar about that Bop song. FAR better than a one hit wonder.
I love the way you did your time lapse it's so much more unique having it be slowed down and turned into more of a montage. I found it so relaxing nice job!
It would take 4 hours and 48 minutes hours to fill a single chest ([{1,728 ⋅ 10}/60]/60) = 4h + (0.8 ⋅ 60)m = 4h48m per chest (as the chests run in parallel the time isn't compounded) The entire terminal (with both smelters) would fill around 5 times a day (at 100% efficiency) This is considering that they remain in loaded chunks the whole time
*@impulseSV* 12:24 you can create a "Button" game from this mechanic (like in last season, with Mumbo & the diamonds & TNT), but this time instead: Each time the minecart is "launched" it lights up another indicator lamp, then either do something when the indicators are "full", or just sit back & see how long it can charge before someone uses it :)
Some jokes are for everyone. Some jokes feel so hyper specific that you feel directly called out: “Skizzleman being Skizzleman, added some requirements” ::laughs in scrum::
The Life Series paranoia survives. I'm pretty sure to this point I haven't seen Impulse walk on a single pressure plate lining the roads. Every time it gets jumped.
You talking about teaching Skizz redstone brought me back to I think S6 when Grian was new and you helped him out with a project and gave him a packed redstone shulker for him. So classy
I've watched so many streams of just impulse playing Bop that it's consuming my brain. I cant study for my finals bc bop is always playing in my head!!!!
Both your redstone and your building blow my mind! Well done! The whole HC server is looking awesome, but your city with Joel up on the hill is my favourite by a long way! Cannot wait to see it all grow and become a functioning city :D
Also... I found with the villagers next to each other - break all the work stations and only put them back one by one, making sure the right villager takes the next workspace. It's a pain but once they have the right workstation, they shouldn't lose it again unless something else interrupts their cycles.
T Flip flop w copper bulb on the pressure plate and also the music note? Each if them can do on and then off. Remind hermits it will be playing constantly if they don't hit the music block. Social engineering as well as Redstone engineering! Perfect for an Impulse and Skizz creation.
I'm so glad someone posted today. It's been a sad day and I need a hermit episode to bring my spirits up. I lost someone close to me this morning so thank you for making me laugh even a little bit
Something to think about that I was going to comment on the last video but wanted to do some research first. If you use calibrated skulking censors, Redstone clocks, etc to set up some jukebox systems throughout the city that play sound randomly or are triggered by certain player interaction could add a really cool element to the city. Things like food sizzling in pans next to kitchens or food trucks. Generators powering on next to the power building. The sound of office lights buzzing and sputtering like you sometimes here in offices or around neon lights. Even just a couple spread around the city could be a really cool option if you can do it without casing too much lag Hope this helps, James
This episode answered something I was wondering about. You built such a huge cactus farm but you were only setting up two XP banks. I was wondering how just two were going to serve all of magic mountain. Waiting to see how often people use them first makes sense though. Also that livestream with you trying to figure out what was wrong with the jukebox was so insanely funny to watch.
Impulse. An idea I thought of that could work, is that if you make a t flip flop with when the light turns on and it’s ready, you could add a circuit that when someone steps off of the pressure plate, the light auto turns off. Obviously you could run into the issue where when someone steps on the pressure plate and xp wasn’t taken out it would reset still. but in that case it would just reset the 30 level timer, making the next person get more levels when the light comes on. As long as the area is mob proof lol
If you replace the furnaces at Bop N Go with smokers, they will smelt to 30 levels twice as fast (provided the farms are fast enough to supply the cactus and kelp).
With my villagers, I like to place the villager on top of their job block. I also place them one block apart with a trapdoor in front and above them. Doing this allows only the one villager to see his/ her job, the XP isn't blocked, and the villager cannot get out. You could use a fence post, iron bar, or glass if you don't wan to use a trapdoor. I hope this helps. ;)
17:08 Oh he changed the design for the bop song?! 17:50 Oh makes more sense… 18:17 Watching this redstone on stream was a great experience lmao 22:22 Face of realisation and regret dawns on bdubs
I see a lot of people use minecarts in rails over hoppers to split items in half, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone just use a double chest with 2 hoppers under it and a comparator to lock the hoppers into there's a handful of items in the chest, which seems like it could be easier and cheaper and no moving parts.
I made a 3x3 chunk perimeter and used bands of decorated pots, backlit by different frog lights going down to bedrock. Ended up making a really cool cyber punkish lighting effect that would match your roads really well if put on one of your buildings.
Oh, you could sell Bop-n-Go stations. The Endermen farm is good for repairing everything at once and massive level amounts, but having just enough for a little bit on the go is something people could want around various parts of the server. Probably wouldn't need as massive of a farm to fuel them, because they'd be more occasional, just one instead of two, AND not having to fit within an established space. It could be almost as ubiquitous as a mailbox. The place people put in their orders could even be called, like, the Bop Shop.
Love the Bop'n Go, I think it's a really cool concept ! However, I couldn't help but notice you are using Ilmango's Skyblock Kelp farm, and I would recommend switching it for a different one before you build too many layers. I was also attracted by the elegant and space efficiency of the design, but it has a major flaw and will break down over time, rates will slowly diminish before it fully stops working: Up to 3 kelp plants per subchunk can grow in the same GT. If 2 pistons side-by-side trigger at the same time, they will break the water and it won't be able to regenerate. (it's even worse than that, since the pistons fire twice, and occupy the water block for multiple GT, so they don't even have to fire in the exact same GT) If you are interested, I have a design that is reliable, cheaper and even more space-efficient.
Part of the reason the dropper QC issue was so confusing is because in multiplayer, the F3 screen does not reflect the correct powered / activated state of the dropper until *after* you right-click the dropper to see its inventory. Only then will the F3 screen show the correct powered state. Same thing with hoppers even though they don’t quasi-power. So the problem here was realizing QC is at play (why the song plays every other time) AND the F3 screen is sometimes inaccurate so it’s confounding to understand the situation.
If even Grian couldn’t manage to break it, it *must* be foolproof.
but is it scarproof. that is the ultimate test.

It honestly makes me so happy how much you and Skizz love Bop. I think it was the first song Ely released after I became friends with him, so it's kinda special. Also it is, as the name implies, a bop.
The editing during the Bdubs segment was amazing. You guys are comedy gold together
OH MY GOSH i was watching this at work and didn't expect the Skizzleman bop and I had to cover my mouth with both hands to keep from laughing too loud 😂 that's amazing!!! Skizz is the best!!!
Grian was dangerously close to speaking in real redstone there
He got spot on
Loved the music during the redstone build for BnG! Thanks for relaxing us, Impulse!
As a massive fan of the band "Men Without Hats" and i mean that sincerely, there is something familiar about that Bop song.
FAR better than a one hit wonder.
Absolutely loving the relaxed vibe this season. Keep it up man, always look forward to your next expisode/stream. Very inspiring.
I love the way you did your time lapse it's so much more unique having it be slowed down and turned into more of a montage. I found it so relaxing nice job!
It would take 4 hours and 48 minutes hours to fill a single chest
([{1,728 ⋅ 10}/60]/60) = 4h + (0.8 ⋅ 60)m = 4h48m per chest (as the chests run in parallel the time isn't compounded)
The entire terminal (with both smelters) would fill around 5 times a day (at 100% efficiency)
This is considering that they remain in loaded chunks the whole time
([¹⁷²⁸ˣ¹⁰⁄₆₀] /60)

12:24 you can create a "Button" game from this mechanic (like in last season, with Mumbo & the diamonds & TNT), but this time instead:
Each time the minecart is "launched" it lights up another indicator lamp, then either do something when the indicators are "full", or just sit back & see how long it can charge before someone uses it :)
I loved the time lapse music and the slower speed today. It just felt so relaxed and chill and actually gave me a mental lift somehow.
Every time it gets jumped.
maybe the sign could say “once you bop, the light must stop!” - just a fun, catchy slogan :)
YAY ANOTHER IMPULSE UPLOAD!! my life is complete today!!!!
The very calm timelapse music you've recently added to your videos is amazing. Keep up the good work!
Me instantly going to the description 17:35
Saaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeee
Just played the BOP song. Was so cool listening to you two doing the harmonizing part.
I'm so glad someone posted today. It's been a sad day and I need a hermit episode to bring my spirits up. I lost someone close to me this morning so thank you for making me laugh even a little bit
Loving the cyberpunk city so far
Something to think about that I was going to comment on the last video but wanted to do some research first. If you use calibrated skulking censors, Redstone clocks, etc to set up some jukebox systems throughout the city that play sound randomly or are triggered by certain player interaction could add a really cool element to the city. Things like food sizzling in pans next to kitchens or food trucks. Generators powering on next to the power building. The sound of office lights buzzing and sputtering like you sometimes here in offices or around neon lights. Even just a couple spread around the city could be a really cool option if you can do it without casing too much lag
Hope this helps,
James
Keep up the amazing work!! I love how far your base has come this season.
Gotta say, I'm loving the slow time lapse music. And Kudos on your building skills!
If you replace the furnaces at Bop N Go with smokers, they will smelt to 30 levels twice as fast (provided the farms are fast enough to supply the cactus and kelp).
Great way to start a Wednesday morning!
It's tuesday??
...its Tuesday...😂
@@blisterbeetle01 ...time zones exist...
@@tibetanmonk2251 time zones exist??
@@washedkris bah, that's just a myth! Lol jk
I hope this helps. ;)

Oh he changed the design for the bop song?!
17:50
Oh makes more sense…
18:17
Watching this redstone on stream was a great experience lmao

Face of realisation and regret dawns on bdubs
I see a lot of people use minecarts in rails over hoppers to split items in half, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone just use a double chest with 2 hoppers under it and a comparator to lock the hoppers into there's a handful of items in the chest, which seems like it could be easier and cheaper and no moving parts.
Their friendship duo is basically, Skizz being the whimsical idea generator and Impulse just makes it happen 😂
I made a 3x3 chunk perimeter and used bands of decorated pots, backlit by different frog lights going down to bedrock.
Ended up making a really cool cyber punkish lighting effect that would match your roads really well if put on one of your buildings.
oh wow ill definitely use that for my own builds thx!
Did the same but with anvils (yes, it was a flex build) totally agree!!!
31:10 place slabs under the work station to allow a small gap for the xp to pass through
The shimmy shake just made my entire week! So cute!! :)
YES u are a builder!!! everything u've made is so cool
I really love the soothing redstone timelapse its very very interesting to watch
14:16, 1728 in 27 stacks at 10 seconds each is 4 hours and 48 minutes, up to 10 times a day.
When skizz ate the carrot well saying " do it in one shot" I thought he was doing an emote or something . 9:08
yay there boppable! alsp thank you for hermitcraft chairty event!
8:08 this is literally why I watch HermitCraft. I love all this Redstone , keep going,
Love the Bop'n Go, I think it's a really cool concept !
However, I couldn't help but notice you are using Ilmango's Skyblock Kelp farm, and I would recommend switching it for a different one before you build too many layers.
I was also attracted by the elegant and space efficiency of the design, but it has a major flaw and will break down over time, rates will slowly diminish before it fully stops working:
Up to 3 kelp plants per subchunk can grow in the same GT. If 2 pistons side-by-side trigger at the same time, they will break the water and it won't be able to regenerate.
(it's even worse than that, since the pistons fire twice, and occupy the water block for multiple GT, so they don't even have to fire in the exact same GT)
If you are interested, I have a design that is reliable, cheaper and even more space-efficient.
"You can bop if you want to.." So many flashbacks to my very early teens when Men Without Hats released "Safety Dance". Yes, I'm old.
I've literally paused the time lapse because I had to comment on how chill that song is. I'm so relaxed now! 😀
