@@c-a-sbuilds7051 yes we do, the CVT is a “one trick pony” whose only parlor trick is getting about 5 MPG better than a sludgebox or DCT, but at the expense of reliability and driving enjoyment.
I’ve had the misfortune of renting a 2020 Corolla with CVT, and even with the Toyota physical first gear “launch gear”, it was still a horrible experience, I spent at least two weeks in the thing, and hated every second.
Manual FTW!
@@MacTechG4 Fun fact: the WRX with a CVT gets 1mpg LESS than a manual WRX. Also the WRX gets 21MPG combined (22 with the manual). This new 2.4 is one helluva guzzler.
This is easily the most underrated car channel on all of RUclips. You make great content!!!
Thanks Austin. I appreciate that!
I'm in Cape Town- South Africa, and my 2014 Opel Astra 1.4 Turbo does a combined figure of 34 mpg. No bad for a car weighing in at 1.3 tons.
Awe bra hope the weather nice down there lmao
That Farfetch notification was hilarious, 10/10 editing!!
Fuel is around 2 € per liter at the moment. My '21 Ford Focus 2.3 EcoBoost does around 26 to 36 mpg (from refuel to refuel). So it's around 30 mpg avg. My much older BMW 330i is around 30 to 23 mpg.
Lol I laughed so hard at the first 30 seconds 🤣 😂 😅 😆 💀 😭 🤣
2:44 that's out of a Ford Mondeo.
That right there is what I used to see when driving my 2.5 V6 Mondeo before I sold it (hugely regret it but I'm much more better off financially 😭)
Yey top cars tv is back 😃
Imagine if he makes a video about cars consuming tires (Inspired by the Bugatti top speed thing becuz it also breaks tires in 15 min). Cool video tho.
4:04 Caught me off guard 🤣 you savage
It's incredible how the holy trinity can do so much mpg and still kick ass 😎
1:05 well the fact that it's boxy give this 4x4 some charm , id prefer having this than any modern suv
dragsters: *sweating intensifies*
Drinks more than my fun uncle really got me, your videos are ace. The RX8 does 18mpg at best
In South Africa it costs about 23 bucks = about $1.46 per litre which is about = 0.3 Gallons.
my car has a combined city and highway of about 6.0 L/100 = about 51mpg
6,0L/100 is about 40 Mpg.
@@Tzekkie depends on what gallon, the english or american...
I’ve just bought the new Hyundai Tucson PHEV and it’s happy with 56mpg which i consider very impressive for a car this size!
If I drive electronically and use the engine only for heating it drops to the 300mpg mark and if you don’t need heating at all it just doesn’t run the engine at all so….
Yeah SUVs aren’t really the right thing to buy if you worry about the environment but as a volunteer firefighter in a rural area there was just the need for a awd car which can handle off-road situations and with that in mind I’m very happy!
And yeah, I’ll love the look of the N-line in shadow grey… a bit mean but not too much
It'd be interesting to see how much miles per gallon all the supercars would get at full send
Here in Germany current gas prices are about 2 Euro per liter which roughly equals to 7.95 USD per Gallon. A month ago it was even higher at 2.22 EUR/l (= 8.83 USD/Gallon). But a couple months ago (before the Russian-Ukrainian war) the prices were way lower - about 1.20 to 1,30 EUR/l (4.77 to 5.17 USD/Gallon).
So indeed I would be more interested in a video about the most frugal cars ever made...
The Bronco 2 had a 2.3L I4 and a 2.9L V6, the regular Bronco had a 4.9L I6 up to a 5.8L in later years, and even then you can get 14 to 17mpg on the freeway.
Yeah not accurate thanks for doing your research before talking. I have the b2 with the 2.9 and some people don't know a difference between the fullsize and the b2
2003 Bentley Continental GT used 25litres/100km (9mpg).
My Porsche uses 6 litres/100km (40mpg) when my wife drives it 😁
Fuel in Australia is currently $2.10 per litre (about $8 per US gallon)
I miss the old times.
me too buddy, me too
Stype187, you're the guy who makes me smile in every video! Good editing and thanks for giving good entertainment!
*laughs in military vehicles*
I drive around in a Honda Accord type s with a 2.4 l engine. I can get as low as 39 mpg on a highway. Fuel here is about 1.2 euros per litre of fuel. Also the Rambo Lambo is one of the coolest Lambos ever.Great topic yet again.

That's Because youtube is drunk again
In India the fuel prices are through the roof, it's like 125 rs for a litre of Petrol which is crazy, many people now use public transport even tho they have personal vehicles
MIND BLOWN! Still love the styling of the Countach.
great to see u upload today
THE CUNNILINGUS SUV threw me for a loop. I love my kids, but they got me smoking a cigarette after our grocery trip. I'm outside holding my sides at that out of the blue comment. That's funny.
Oh man. We used to have an old Diplomat with the cop package, and BOY did it drink the gas. First stop on any trip was straight to the gas station.
Cars in Dr. Driving Game : Hold my beer 🍺
This list makes me happy. I wish more of today's cars were like these cars.
Made a mistake with the Bronco. What you listed was the Bronco ll, the small SUV that was built upon the Ranger platform. Depending on what motor and drivetrain, they got pretty good fuel mileage. If you could find the 2.2L and 2.3L diesel 4 Bangers were are incredibly rare and collectible, you could even see 30MPG plus with those vehicles.
I own an 83' Ranger with a 2.3L with 4WD and I get pretty good fuel economy averaging about 17-18MPG in the city and 20-21MPG on the highway. Not the best but good for a 4WD truck.
My dad’s 2007 ford fiesta (Indian version) does around 37.7 mpg on gasoline when converted from kmpl and gasoline costs around $4.7 per gallon. So yeah, it’s pretty decent.
One surprising fact i found interesting about Mpg was that my favorite car (Hennessey Venom GT) is surprisingly fuel efficient at 24 mpg city and 44 mpg highway with its 1244 hp tt v8
"The pullman guard weighs 12000 lbs and is the heaviest car you can buy"
Karlmann King: ROOKIE NUMBERS
Nice vid, thanks. The 1.3l in the Rotary engine is per rotor. The RX7 came with 2, making it a 2.6l (about 159 cubic inches for the old school). All the best......
The Opel Diplomat 5,4 V 8 was built from 1965 until 1977. The drivetrain was from the Corvette c3, Chevy 327 engine.
In Portugal 1 liter of Diesel is 2.25€...so yeah in Portugal Diesel right now is more expensive than petrol in some gas stations. And i have a Seat Leon FR with the 2.0 TDI with 184 hp with a 6 speed manual about 380 nm of torque and it does about 5.5 liters combined.
Stype is broke, we should send him money!!!
In the comment of the transfer please put 'Revenge of Manolo Blahnik'...
As 2015 Golf Mk7 2.0 TDI Highline driver, with average price now for bit more "Premium" diesel in range of 1.7€/liter only thing I can say is - average of 4.5-5.5l/100km is decent for combined city and highway driving. And yes, have to use highway sometimes to get faster to another part of our city, thanks outer ring with highway (as we call it here in Croatia - "obilaznica"). For city only driving it is about 5liters/100km average with average speed.
I remember reading a story in a car mag onetime about a 1970s suburban with a diesel and an oversized fuel tank that competed in the Cannonball run won an award from OPEC for worst fuel mileage at like 5mpg during it's cross country trek
great video.
I have no fun uncle but man these cars. Talk about the capacity
Rando anecdote; I took my 2005 Evo MR to a track day / driver's SCCA school. It got between 3-4 mpg on the track for the day. Laughed hard at that.
4:05 this man really said Cunnilingus and not Cullinan. I was dying laughing
I owned a '69 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 400 cid/4 bbl (340 hp). I could literally watch the gas gauge drop if I had it floored.
Thank you for including a metric conversion👍
I almost bought one of those old Continentals. I love those old land yachts.
Man, you're such a great RUclipsr, Broke!
Right now in Dortmund West Germany a Liter 95 E5 (aka Standard Gasoline) is 1,99€; 1€ is right now 1,06USD, so a Gallon is roughly 3,79 Liter, so in total translates to 7,98$ per gallon
Down here in Greece, Unleaded 95 fuel costs about 2.053 Euros. Sure it is lower than most countries but considering that Greece doesn't have the best economy it is a pain in the ass.
Και περίπου στα 2.2€/lt η Αμόλυβδη RON 100.

what a video man ..and great voice ..now make video on fuel efficient one's
I had a grandma car 1962 Buick 225 with a 455 in it 10mpg?? Try 8 on road 6 in town but then gas was 89 cents per 2 plus it had air that worked & a HUGE back seat.that WORK very well at the drive-in very well ..good memories of that car yes sir very good memories!!!👍👍👍😎😎😎
8,41 $/gal here in France (I made the maths cause here we use € and litres)
Oh, and the Rolls-Royce Cunnilingus was funny asf 😂
Those were good times. Wish I could travel back in time and get the chance to drive around in those beautiful cars without having to think about the fuel costs
My dad use to have a fully loaded ford F250 with a long bed, king cab and even had a V10 Gas engine, the truck only got like 8-9MPG in the city. It was a huge truck but it could tow anything you threw at it.
Now look at the international cxt whilst knowing that it does the exact same mpg
I have been waiting for a new bid thank u
I have an ‘05 Chevy Colorado X-treme, and have it loaded up with my work stuff [ and it’s packed], and I get 21.5 MPG, around Jacksonville Florida.
Going to get my supplies in Orlando, and Clearwater Beach- round trip, 450 miles , take roughly 16 gallons.
I figured out [ 1 time], at 24.7 MPG, on one of these trips.
Not bad , considering all the weight I haul.
📻🙂
You forgot 1 more, a Mining Dump Truck, that's got to be on the list.
My car's tied with the Trackhawk. 1975 Oldsmobile 98, apparently 18L/100km. An gasoline's like... I dunno... almost 1.80 Euros per Liter? I really don't pay attention, since I wise man once told me: "Geld is egal wenn du so'n geiles Auto fährs!" or "Money is no matter when you've got such an awesome car!" And I fully agree with that German maniac.
The Bronco 2 was a miniature Bronco and was only sold with a 2.8 in 1984, The 5.8/351 Windsor was only put into the bigger broncos, which are both far apart from each other.
In my country fuel is around 1.4 dollers per litre and the only thing my car wants is fuel so i will give it as much fuel the car needs . Instead it let's me have fun with it . It does not ask anything else , if i don't count the maintenance , oil changes , Tyres 😌 love my car
thank you for putting l/100km numbers as well
1970s full size American(USA) vehicles, had "bad fuel mileage" Thanx mainly to the B.S. emissions that choked the engine along with robbing the power from them.
South African here.
Drive a Hyundai Accent 1.6l and it averages 6 liters per 100 kms, I'm not sure what's that in MPG.
Currently, fuel is at an all time high, like R21 a litter.
Also, our country is wierd in that fuel costs less at the coast than inland.
German car magazine AutoBILD had a test back in the day of what car uses the most fuel at top speed, that was A HOOT !
As far as I remember a Cayenne Turbo S took the cake with 66L / 100km. Google says that's 3.5mpg.
Maybe that's another video, that was ages ago
This list is insanity overload!!!! Damn...
Here in Jamaica, the avg gas price is around $220 ($1.41usd) per litre for 87 (some places less and some more), so you looking at $836 jmd ($5.39usd) per gallon. There is one tourist town that is super popular and is also my hometown, that has the avg price per litre approaching (if not over) $260 ($1.67 usd), so then a gallon is $988 ($6.33usd). Crazy.
Have some maintenance to do on my EK civic, as it may not be so efficient. It is miles and miles ahead of the list tho.
us folks from poor nations have to deal with these prices and cars must be expensive too compared to the U.S
The part where he said hi guys im broke got me laughing so bad 😂
I currently have a 2020 BMW M4 Competition Convertible. I do almost 100% city driving and never more than about 10mi per day (currently at 16k total mi on the clock from new)…and I have 1 of my driving presets (M1) set to sport trans, sport acceleration, sport speedometer,&comfort suspension and I average about 11-12mpg…tank is approx 14-15 gallons total. Premium is approx $4.80/gal in Atl, GA. I think this is hilarious
I don’t care about fuel economy, as long as it’s FAST, it’s on my wishlist
I live in a country where propane/lpg is a thing that cars can run on. I think it’s because Australia produces so much of it as it’s a byproduct of coal production. Generally cars pre-2008 or so suffer about a 20-25% mileage and performance penalty. That said, my full size sedan is doing 9L/100km on a fuel that is half the price of the cheapest petrol money can buy. With the amount of driving I do, lpg is a lifesaver.
I got an idea for your next video:
"The fastest sedans ever made", cars for people who love speed but also have a family
I had a 1987 Nissan station wagon into which I shoehorned a 1.9 litre VW turbodiesel. It had a fuel consumption of about 60mpg.
4:05 cunnilingus rolls i thought i misheard that 😂
My dad's 1983 Chevy Suburban got 3 mpg while towing 6,000 lbs and usually gets about 6 mpg empty. His 2000 Volkswagen Golf TDI gets about 45 to 49, and my 2004 Honda Civic EX sedan gets 32.
