Nice video. seems like the two buffers definitely have a different eq on a clean signal while they almost totally loose their rtimbre with the distortion applied, still sounding rounder and fuiller...
N Pet Thank you for your interest , In my opinion : Cornish buffer is more "buffer & EQ" have some bright and bass, Clone is more linear. They are both very good and pedal friendly , but have different character , some pedals working better with Cornish, some with Clone and some without any..... I like more Cornish buffer.
Very interesting job! I would like to do a pedal with two different buffers (with an opamp and a transistor) and i am looking for the proper way of switching between the two (with a two leds or a bicolor one as you did). I know it's been almost 3 years but is it possible to have the schematic of this pedal in order to finish my project? Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your work!
Thank you for your value of my job , honestly i have no schematics of switching in that buffer because after making so much pedals and amps, and all that kind of experimets - you keep a lot of information in your head. If you still not found information about two of this buffers , so i can share with you schematics and i can draw switching system by hand, there no secrets ;-)
very useful.... i was looking a buffer for minimize tone suck of behringer pedals, first i was thinking in klon but Cornish look better for the eq thing...thanks

Thanks for this . I believe the Cornish buffer is a bootstap design . Is this correct and how it that different from the Klon's buffer ?

Gracias amigo!
hola, podría compartir el esquemático? por favor.

It is why I made this comparison. For people like us.
i think cornish colors the sound, but keeps it fat.
while klon is more linear, but thinner.
