Hi Lance, I will be back in NZ come November, McNearly Gnarly was one of my favourite rides when in Queenstown, along with Rude Ride at Coronet Peak, all on a 100mm xc bike, great fun. Keep up the good work. Might see you out on the trails?
Your crew remind me of my riding partners here in Oz - all 50+ and now all e-bike. Just come back from an epic trip like this one in Tassie (Maydena & Derby). Don't forget you can ship your batteries beforehand via courier. I know it's not ideal but I'm never going back to steam !
Queenstown has the best trails in NZ. Make sure you check out Cardrona and do the peak to pub. Skyline is great as well. I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic week 🤟
Had my first go there yesterday, my brothers and I bought our e-bikes over from Alex and managed 3 runs, it is still a good climb on e‘s! So great effort and vid guys.
@@bestdayevermtb2 nice. If you get back to Alex, send me a message and I maybe able to sort you some riding at Matangi mtb as a thanks for all the RUclips enjoyment you have provided me.
Yes Lance I don't know how I'd go on the steambike now after 2 years of electric...I'd love to see you ride Bike Glendhu over at Wanaka while you're down here on the "Main Island" the view has to be one of the best in Aotearoa 😉🤟
Nice video Lance! We are heading down to Queenstown later this year and wondering where you hired your van? Struggling to find anything with bike racks inside!
@@bestdayevermtb2 im sure exactly what shop its at but im pretty sure ive heard of people renting batteries down there. Ill have a look at let you know.
Thanks for the concern. The reason I got the ebike is I had some health issues that meant I had no stamina. I have improved slowly but am a long way off what I used to be able to do. I love the E bike as I can ride all day and although tired am not exhausted.
Wow can't believe the number of jumps on the way down no wonder u were puffed going up it! I'm all jumped out just watching you

JEALOUS!! Stuck in Covid iso, not much fun and watching this video had me itching to get back on the bike. Definitely a place I want to go soon!!
Great place to ride. Hope you are not sick.
@@bestdayevermtb2 pretty miserable, it’s worse than any cold I’ve ever had.

Another nice on Lance. Missed the mid week special this week. Well done all the crew for steam biking, makes you appreciate how good the eebs are.
Yes not sure about the midweek special at the moment as very busy with work.
Nice trip out lance, looks a great flowy track.
Laughing like a ittle Girl. LOL Another enjoyable video
Another great One,thanks guys 🤠
Damn I miss that place. My favourite trail rode it more than anything else while I was there. It's where I learnt to jump.
Great track to work on your jump skills.
Great vibes 👍 not many folk know about the gearbox bike!
That was quality guys

I really want to go to Tazzy with e bike. Have a second battery now so could ship ahead.
I have heard that there are quite a few places in Europe where they rent out batteries. Hopefully this becomes a bigger thing worldwide at parks etc.
@@ocbyn let's hope so.

@@bestdayevermtb2 I'll be looking for a Rude Rock-Hot Rod clip...Cheers

Sweet video. Looking forward to seeing what you guys did for the rest of the trip!
We had a great time. Keep watching.

Well I know where I want go now! (He says sitting on the couch with a moonboot on after a Gumby flat corner crash 😩). Nice riding!
Bugger. Hope you heal fast.
@@bestdayevermtb2 cheers, waiting for x-ray results on Monday.
How long do you reckon the pedal up was?
@@dirtsurfernz probably 15 min from jumps and 15min to jumps from road.

Next week's video. Awesome day with awesome weather.
Another great video. Damn those jumps look fun. Is Brooke the real Mr. Whippy?
Great fun track. Brooke likes to flick the bike about.
Great travel montage (slightly biased plane nerd...)
Have a Fergburger please!

Will find out for you.
Discount rentals Queenstown
Very good people to deal with. Made the process super easy and were very flexible on pick up and drop off time.
Thank you so much guys! Hope to see you out in the forest soon :)
Thanks for reminding me why I have an ebike. Luckily I've sold my steam bike so I will not be trying what you did.
Going back is tough.
Good vid as normal. Any options for hiring batteries in Queenstown?
I did have a look but nothing that worked. I know Graham sent his e bike down last year but not worth it for 5 days.
Lance how come you didn't take the ebbs down with you ?
Does your ktm have a removable battery?
The battery can be removed but would need to have been shipped down. Might have been worth it for a longer trip.

Clearly a dream track, needa rename the other one Scream Track!!! be sure 2 hit 7 mile trails
Didn't do 7 mile this time. Have done it before but we wanted more gravity rides this time.
@@bestdayevermtb2 Rude Rod it is!!!😁
Ironically there's an ad for an orange KTM bike under this video for me here...
Google knows what you need😁
Trails in Queenstown like mc nearly gnarly make you realize how crap aucklands mountain biking really is
I still think we are pretty lucky in Auckland. Our Aussie neighbours are not so lucky. Sydney, Melbourne and Perth don't have the same trail networks.
Still some awesome trails in Auckland 440, Riverhead, WCRC, Maretai to name a few Think we’re pretty lucky with the variety 😉
Must’ve bought you back to reality riding on a bike that doesn’t have a motor
Actually ended up having alot of fun on it. Just avoided climbing.
Hi Lance I'm concerned about you, you don't have asthma do you? For all the exercise you do you shouldn't be puffing like that.
