Many years ago I wanted to return to Hampi, buy a corracle made of nylon fertiliser sacks coated with tar and float down the Cauvery river.I was there for a new year and despite it being a dry state got a plastic bag of local brew and didn't go blind.Slept on the roof of one of the few village houses. When you get home have a read about Viyanagar which had sanitation when we were still throwing soil into the street.
The presence of people, the diversity of culture and lifestyle land nature and such things made my life enjoyable. Never felt stressed or depressed. I always enjoyed my life in India. But after I went to the west I felt like I am controlled by someone and I don't have my own time, and I am stressed and depressed sometimes. But when I returned I felt I am back to normal . What I am saying is life is enjoyable in the real nature
I keep thinking that the best bit of these videos is when you are unable to travel with your father, you'll have all your adventures documented to watch again and again. Inspires one to do the same.
Next time bring your friends, cousins and relatives to India , come with the whole family , you can great experience with least budget here 👍 there are 28 states and 8 Union Territories with diverse culture and landscapes in India , too much to explore.
Old man wakes up to see Darcy lacing his sneakers. Asks Darcy where he's going. Darcy says "there's a leopard outside our tent pops." Old man says, "Son, you can't outrun a leopard." Darcy responds, "I don't have to pops, I just have to outrun you!"
Hampi is capital city of vijayanagara empire. At that time Hampi is the richest city in the world. It was destroyed during Islamic invasions in 1565. Because of fall of vijayanagara empire British french and Portuguese colonised as India.
We don’t really like the 450 engine, it lacks the RE soul. For me the perfect bike would be the Bear 650 but we were more than happy with the Classic 350 👌🏻
@@MrDarcy-OlMan I tried the Bear 650, and it definitely feels buttery smooth. The stance is also improved compared to everything else. I've ridden more than 2,000 km on the Himalayan 450 in the mountains of northern India, and for me, it was the perfect bike. I've also heard that the Himalayan is coming out with a 750cc model in the future-something to look forward to.
These vlogs just fly by; so interesting. I have never subscribed to modern 'adventure' bike phenomenon and watching you guys doing some real adventuring on a classic 350 just confirms my view point. I'd love to see a couple of massive 1200cc plastic enshrouded modern 'adventure' bikes deal with that ferry crossing. Give me the RE classic , perhaps with a set of trail tyres, and that'll handle most of the adventuring I want to do. Excellent stuff gentlemen; thank you.

those rock formations you saw are mountains broken down into small to big rocks like that to make stone things like statues and materials for making parts of buildings most of them could be granites and that police car is Mahindra Scorpio
Another great video. Just thought I'd get back to my original comment from the other day, that is a bull. A Gaur is much bigger than that, let me put it this way it's bigger than the American bison. And for Darcy, there are rocks 5 to 10 times bigger than that in the Himalayas, I've seen many around Reckong Peo. Let's see where you go next. Good journey
Millions of years ago volcanic eruptions created these giant rocks... Thousands of years ago before British deforested most of India to build the railway network these were thick forests and home to monkeys. In Indian philosophy we treat all animals as gods. In the Ramayana period this area called Kishkinda was home to monkey army that helped Lord Rama cross over to SriLanka by building the bridge... This is the birth place of Lord Hanuman who was an ardent devotee of Lord Sri Ram... More details in Ramayana

@@bhaskarneogi6706 Before the first clip, off camera, there were gun shots which is why we said that. We appreciate that Indian people don't hunt and shoot for sport and we commend you for that 🙏

man india is fun to live......you never feel alone....A BLESSED LAND INDEED.....NO DOUBT EVERYONE WANTED TO CAPTURE IT...
16:37 Haha....Darcy letting his inner child out there🤣🤣🤣 can't hold back when ya see a swing😆
😂was the biggest swing I’ve ever seen lol 😂
Darcy, those giant boulders were put there by retreating glaciers during one of the ice ages...
If you have much time in India kindly travel North East India and Ladakh , Kerala too .
I agree with you, spectacular riding and scenery. Great video guys, I felt like I was there with you! Loving this series.
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
We need longer episodes. 20 min is not sufficient
We don't need motorcycle reviews rather we need vlogging from now on...😊

The fall of civilization podcast on youtube has the best documentary on vijaynagara empire....absolutely fantastic scenery and brilliant storytelling.
Petting an Ox 🐂 can be dangerous sometimes, most are chill but you never know.
Very true!
Oxen trained for work are very docile.but untrained ox/ bull calves and bulls used for breeding can be very dangerous to strangers.
Wow that ox is a beast! Hampi looks awesome and very spiritual. The river crossing looked fun 😅 You guys are making me want to go to India 🇮🇳
Really enjoying these vids, your relaxed unpatronizing style makes them so much more enjoyable. Love the Tabla.

Hampi was an ancient city not just temples..those temples are part of city

darcy's having the time of his life on that swing 😂
4mins 50sec in.. "If Darcy gets chased by a leopard, I will film it". That's just epic. 😂😂😂 great shot guys. Big thumbs up.

Thanks for enabling us to watch such beautiful landscapes, temples, countryside from your lenses .Hope you guys are enjoying ❤
Stunning!!!! What an Amazing Adventure!

No, it is Mahindra bolero.
You should go to the Deccan to see the rock formations. Oldest rocks.
