- BLEU DE CHANEL EAU DE PARFUM REVIEW - In this video I'll be sharing my thoughts on the very popular Chanel fragrance called Bleu De Chanel Eau De Parfum or EDP version. I actually really enjoyed wearing Bleu De Chanel edp to my present surprise. It really boost my confident and I feel very good wearing it. At first I never thought much about this fragrance but I grew to appreciate it over time. This is probably my favorite fragrance from Chanel if I were to choose one. Now despite Bleu de Chanel not being a scent that I could fall in love with I still respect it for what it does, and that is to make you smell nice throughout the day and impress the people around you.

I did a lot of research before buying and it rocks...period! Great, non offensive, get compliments(or girls getting closer to you) etc...great stuff!
Good review Timmy! I agree that BDC is super versatile. Doesn't get much wear in my rotation because I prefer Acqua Di Gio Profumo for most of the occasions that BDC fits, but BDC still gets compliments when I wear it! It's crazy how well received it is

Sampled both EDT and EDP. They're not the same, EDT is sharper, brighter while EDP is more sophisticated and calm. To sum up, you can't go wrong with either. I believe we shouldn't jump on the bandwagon, but for this one, just blind buy it, success guaranteed.
I have the EDT. This was my first Fresh Fragrance. Second fragrance I owned after CH Men. I love this scent. the EDT is a little more brighter in my opinion. The EDP smells more deep and like incense on my skin. This is basically my, When I do interviews at my business. It always makes me feel like a professional. But again for the price I don't know if I would buy it again at over a hundred dollars. There are a lot of niche scents I would prefer over this at maybe a couple more dollars.
Abhi K. For sure man. I feel the same way, if you already have quite a few bottles in your collection this is not really worth it. But if you like to own 3-4 fragrances this is a killer for all the occasion you can use it for. Thanks for your thoughts bro. Have a great week :)

Hi! I didn't tried the EDP version but the EDT. I must say that the longevity was really really really POOR! I applied numerous times and it didn't last even 30 minutes. So, even if I enjoyed the sent, that is great, I prefer to swith to Dior Sauvage if I'm taking into consideration the all occassion fragance. That one smells really different, but it really performs like a beast!!! See you next time!
Marco F Yo! thanks for commenting. I totally agree. I like Sauvage a lot more as well but only for the summer time. In the summer Sauvage is has a nice sweetness on my skin. Other season it's too fresh haha. But beast longevity any day for sure!

30 minutes on your skin ? It's either you bought a fake one because there are many fakes out there or lying or you need medical help, the EDT last between 6 to 8 hours on many people and projects more than the EDP but to say 30 minutes that's misleading.

In your experience which is better deal about its performance and fragrance itself, EDP or the new Parfum one?
parfum get a lots of woody and has more longevity, imho EDP has the best opening but still good at longevity. I prefer EDP
I love the edp but I’ll be damned if the performance isn’t there!! It lasts like 2-4 hours max!! On skin or cloths.
@Chris Christian i own both edt and edp but honestly edp performs worse. kinda disappointed but i just cant get over the smell
I picked this up last weekend because of a lot of reviews for the "compliment" factor. I've worn it three times this week and not a single compliment at work. Wife loves it when I put it on first thing in the morning, but that's it. I'm putting on 5 sprays (left/right neck) back of the neck, and on my wrists. I can smell it, but not a single complement... What am I doing wrong ?!?!
Blurr de Chanel? The EDT smells metallic after some time. The EDP is the perfected version of this fragrance. Jeremy shows that EDP wins out the EDT with the ladies.
Couldn’t agree more. I get the hype over edt but the edp top note is incomparable and smells much more sophisticated than edt.

Opening not bad. Dry down is not good on me. People around me not feeling comfortable with how I smell with this as well. Oh well, im seems like smelly with most of the fragrance. But the Allure Homme Sport is A-ok with me.
Wow, skin chemistry plays a super huge part in the fragrance world. Yeah I understand what you mean, a fragrance that has that same affect for me is Aventus. It just comes out sour off my skin in the warmer weather and people hate it on me. The only time I could wear Aventus is during the winter time when it doesn't smell so sour. My most favourite perfume is Aventus. I have a lot of sample of Aventus with the same batch. I gave 1 to my friend to use and in the same time I also use another sample with the same batch number. It smells so GODLY on him and smell bitter sour on me. But still I bought the 120ML of Aventus haha. Well, I only get negative comments since then. However, I found out the latest batch of 2016, which just realised 3 months ago from today can smell just merely better on me and even smells nicer on him. Guess I will be buying the new batch Aventus again haha. Afterall, I'm still seeking the perfect match perfume with my skin which can impress my own nose in a godly way as well haha.
I think we might have very similar skin lol. I'll look into the newest batch to see if it's any better for me. I sure hope so, because I really like that scent over all haha.
Used up my 100ml this spring. Just got my 150ml bottle in today. Jan ‘18 batch straight from the Chanel site. I may buy another 150ml of the edt or I get One Million Lucky and L’homme Ideal edp. I didn’t think I was going to go back to Bleu but I missed wearing it.
I have the EdT 100ml,the opening grapefruit feels just like any other fresh fragrance but the incense kicks in, it becomes sophisticated and a bit unique. Performance sucks...and makes it overpriced. Nevertheless ,a good one from Chanel.

The longivity on the EDT, is not that good but the projection, man, is beast mode, while the EDP is smoother and closer to the skin, but last longer than the EDT.

Thanks man! I haven't properly test out the EDT yet but I heard the performance is not so good, and since he EDP performance is already just average I decided to test this one instead. What about the EDT that you like more than the EDP?
This is a fragrance I used to wear 6 years ago so maybe the formulation has changed a little. That said, EDT project better than EDP because of the level of alcohol used. EDP usually stays longer on your skin but the projection and sillage is weaker on this one and it is the case for many fragrances. There is also something in the EDP that gives me headaches.
Ahh I see. I'll look into EDT next to see which would be better for me, I hope the formulation didn't change too much. I think the incense in the EDP might be stronger and that might be what's causing the headache from what I've heard. I don't mind it though :)
Since this fragrance has a similar vibe with Sauvage by Dior and Invictus by Paco Rabanne, I have chosen Sauvage because Dior is my favorite Designer House and because the projection and sillage are still great on that one. They are all crowd pleaser scents but Sauvage is the best bang for the buck at the time we speak.

Performance matters the most, then the smell.
Aaman Chowdhury bleu de chanel edp, dior homme parfume( beast performance) acqua di gio profumo.
Bleu De Chanel for indoors all occasion. DHP for outdoors. Acqua Di Gio for both indoor and outdoor.
I got the 150 ml not much difference in the price
I ordered a 100ml bottle directly from the Chanel website when it first came out. I prefer the edt. I am on my second 5oz bottle of the edt. I don't think I'll be picking up any new Chanel bottles in the future. The prices are higher and the juice now smells watered down.
I wasn't aware of the price going up or the juice being watered down, thanks for letting me know man. Chanel is a brand that I never really paid much attention to, to be honest. I just don't fine them very interesting. Bleu is not my favorite as well, but it just works for what it's suppose to do. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts man! Always appreciate it :)
Imagine Scent sucks for me cause I'm a fan of Allure Homme Sport and Extreme. I had a 1.7oz of Allure Homme too. For their high designer prices I can buy Creed testers or Bond no 9. Still so many that I want to buy. Once the above mentions are done I'll be moving away from Chanel
There's definitely a world to this discover with fragrances for sure. Too many to discover haha. And you're right, Chanel is priced too high for what you get of them. And the sad part is, they never really have sales. Personally I would pick niche testers over Chanel any day, but that's just me.
Every woman loves the EDT on my skin. The EDP? Not so much. It's pleasant from a distance, but smells synthetic from up close. EDT > EDP.

Actually, I think the Eau de parfum has a soft, almost feminine smell to it once it settles.
