YOU ARE MY FUCKING SAVIOR!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was about to lose my job because I couldn’t get my car to start. I don’t have the money for a mechanic to fix it but I was having this exact same issue. A new switch was only 40$, so I bought it and replaced the old one. I tried it and the car immediately started!!!
Yeah I ended up turning it hard with a flat head and it popped free for a customer stuck on the side of the road. See how long it last before they call back (I explained it was not an actual fix more like a bandaid but they were more then happy to get the car moving and understand they may be paying for a replacement in XX days)
@@KevykevHIDI’m having this issue currently as we speak, I was told by AA that it’s the spring in the spring loaded ignition barrel, I have a new ignition barrel ready to go on and hopefully that fixes it
@@KevykevHIDI was told it’s not the switch as I can still turn the key to get all electrics and ignition I just then can’t turn it to the next stage to crank the car over and that it’s the actual spring inside the barrel that’s give up
Couldn't believe how easy it was!
I almost paid 400 for this. Thanks for your video.

The comments saved my ass. Pulled it out and aligned the lines with a screwdriver to match the male end
Thanks for the video- very helpful!!

@_vernon it was this exact part for me. I just changed it. My issue was an intermittent stick in the 2nd position.
