- This video is a supplement to the book Train Smart: Self-Coaching for Practical Shooting. Ankle strength is extremely important for explosive movement. It is one of the most common places to have energy leaks in movement. Here are some exercises you can do to keep your ankles strong!
We need to be prepared to run on all different types of terrain. Be sure to also use proper footwear that does not have so much grip it tears at your knees, and also has a soft rubber bottom so you don't slip.
Thank you Sam Callahan and Pixie for helping out with these videos!

Very helpful😎
wow, that is fantastic. I will be integrating them into my workouts. The video did not mention weight on the kettle bells or the number of reps/times/sets.
That really depends on you and your goals. Lift enough to challenge yourself without causing injury. There are two techniques, one is bigger faster stronger, and the other is higher reps with lighter weights. For most people, 3 sets of 15 reps is a good number.
It's giving me some ideas!
Have you seen Pat Mac's stabilizing workout platform? Similar to 1:41 but flat, it's a slab of 1/4" steel about 3x3ft suspended by chains on all 4 corners to create wobble while you do shooting drills.
I have not. I’m actually doing balance/stability next.
