2025 Honda Pilot Black Edition - Is This The ULTIMATE Trim Level? Find Out 👉
ruclips.net/video/irPeh9MZQK4/видео.html
🔸🔸🔸🔸
I like the Sport-L trim since it just the right amount of features for the price and doesn't have any gloss black in the interior.
Two things are missing. You only mentioned cooling seats. The other is that it has no spare tire!
nobody changes tires in 2024 most insurance companies offer road side assistance for like 10 a month why would i do it myself?
@@TheManbeastmike that is correct. But without a spare tire, NOBODY can change it! hahaha
I've been watching quite a few different video presentations lately (current honda owner and considering a new one). I just wanted to tell you that of the 7 or 8 other car reviewers who post videos, I appreciate your presentation style and content the best of the lot. Great Job ! 🙂
Thank you!
Can’t wait to get mine!
I don't understand why Honda does not have a Honda Pilot in a Hybrid model.
They have to design a hybrid naturally aspirated 6 cylinder / electric combo that works well. Pilot and Passprt are awaiting it
@@lionintuI wouldn’t a V6 engine like it has now, but it would use the Civic Type R 2.0T with a hybrid system. It has the same identical horsepower to the Pilot V6 engine.
Me too!
@GarlandTexasSpotter2024 the 2.0T is a Turbo. turbochargers are known to eventually fail around 100k. And the Pilot is much heavier of a vehicle fully loaded. So that's strain on the turbo. Hence not reliable in the longrun. Honda reliability has gone downhill in the last 10 years partially due to those same turbo engines. The reason why Honda and Toyota hybrids have been the most reliable is, for one, because they're not risking reliability for more power. Toyota is already working on more powerful natural aspirated engines. Hyundai and Kia have hybrids with turbos and they suck.
One thing I have to complain is that they should put the shifter on the left towards the driver instead on the right, because it’s the most important thing that driver do everyday, the drive mode selector and AVH aren’t used all that much, if you want to change drive mode, you will most likely in D(Drive), so the drive mode selector is easier reachable, electronic parking switch can also be reached easily when shifter is shift to Park. If you disagree, then you should sit on the passenger side and try each controls, it’s not hard to use controls like AVH, parking brake, drive mode selector.
Among the other things this is the biggie for me not getting one just yet; another one is that half digital odometer display; hopefully they’ll address it in 2026 model year, on facelift version next year
If you have trouble reaching the shifter, you must have really short arms.
Best looking CR-V to date! Very sharp looking SUV. The CX-5 is not as sharp looking and is getting pretty dated. And the RAV 4s, I never like the current body style. Now if only Honda put the 2.0 turbo in the CR-V found in the RDX as a third option I'd be there TODAY 😂
No spare tire is a deal breaker here especially for our long road trips. And no, we don't want an aftermarket spare tire kit in a bag taking up valuable cargo area space.
yep big miss.
Super standard with all hybrids and electrics.
I'm bout to buy 1 wtf no tire
Are you saying all rav 4 hybrids are unique and special? :)@@TheMightyClark
You can buy a spare tire, if that's the problem
If I didn't get a great lease when I turned in my 2021 CRV Hybrid I wouldn't have gotten this one. No spare tire or even a donut spare like my last one. No cargo cover or home link without paying extra cash for a lease someone else will end up owning. And, Honda got rid of the deep armrest that was big enough for a handbag and got rid of the hidden arm rest chargers. Not thrilled, but it has great visibility and good hauling space for a compact suv. The salesman didn't tell me it didn't have the dough nut spare. I couldn't imagine any company selling a car without a spare. Stupid me.
Thank for your post and review. We just bought 1 for this. It's amazing car!
I have a Honda CRV Hybrid Sport 2023. Love the smooth quite ride. Sure would like it if Honda would publish a document explaining how to make sure ones driving habits preserve the longevity of the transmission clutch.
Thank you for providing us a detailed and amusing video review. I like your voice as it's clear and concise. Very well made.
As far as missing features on this vehicle is concerned, I wish they would have added cooled-seats and most importantly, those fog lights. I need those ground areas in front of the vehicle well-lit and with my 2008 Honda CRV when it was new, that was very helpful. It lit-up the dark areas and makes the lighting more uniformed.
These 2 features could have easily been added and would have made it definitely on-par with its closest rival, the Rav4. These are the 2 deal-breakers as we also own a 2024 Rav4. Had these features been available, the only comparison required between the two would be a test drive.
Just bought a white one yesterday!!!!!
Are you liking it? Any tips? I am looking to buy the same car.
@@inclinedscorpio I love it so far!!! Something I need to ask them is if it comes with a trunk cover and a grocery net. I noticed ours has neither. Ask me what you need to know and I will get back to you👍🏽
I wanted a great run around car and this totally does what I need
:)
It’s so nice looking ;)
@@inclinedscorpio We have one. Super great so far.
eCVT is not in any way the same as a common belt and pulley varying ratio CVT. For the most part, the electric motor direct drives the wheels and the gas motor runs a generator. There are two specific speed ranges where a clutch engages to lock the gas motor to the drive wheels.
+Hi, If for the most part, the electric motor direct drives the wheels and the gas motor runs a generator then why CRV uses a 2.0L engine?
Did they fix the fuel injector problem?
Do you have any information about the spare tire in Honda CRV hybrid models?
It’s tempting me to buy this 😅
#1 SUV. 🥇
Topgun
Spare tire and cooling seats are the only thing I wish they would add. I just bought a sport L and love it!
Love it and I can't wait to drive 🎉🎉🎉
Overall, I like this model CRV, but I don't like that front silver / Chrome trim around the front air ports! Interestingly, the Spoprt L model leaves black which is more consistent with the front grill look. It sticks out like a sore Thumb IMHO. Three things I see as lacking at this price point for a TOL Sport Touring: Missing Ventilated front seats; lacking a power adjusting Steering wheel; and a HUD (Head's Up Display). Another model Hybrid that I would compare this to is the KIA Sorrento. For a couple of Bucks more, more room, comparable MPGs, more HP/Torque. Honda Reliablility ususally can't be beat - as well as their resale values. In my current category as a Retiree , 72 yo (the wife is 70), we are entertaining replacing Her 2016 CRV Touring which only has 48K miles on it.
You still have lots of mileage left on that 2016!
Wow! Adjusting to the new features can get used to at first
That looks exactly like the new 2025 we bought last week. Question what is the B under drive on shifter?
Regen Braking Mode
B is for battery. If you are low on gas and need to get to a gas station you can drive it on the battery mode.
@@paulabenjamin5413 Incorrect.
@@paulabenjamin5413 The B gear increases drag and recharges the hybrid car battery when you drive your car downhill but on regular surfaces, it only wastes energy and does not charge the battery. Please note the B stands for braking and not for battery so use it effectively and under the right circumstances.
@@paulabenjamin5413 incorrect
Any Change from 2024 sport touring?
No. :-(
Are there are features missing from the 2024 sport touring that you were hoping would be added to the 2025 model?
I was hoping the 2025 model would add fog lights, heated rear seats, or a new, lighter interior color option (maybe beige), because not everyone wants a black interior, and black is your only option for 5 of the 8 exterior colors.
@@rc2257They do offer a “beige” color in the 25’ it’s called light grey but it definitely looks beige. I bought mines 2 weeks ago.
I know they upgraded it by a couple inches to a 9 inch screen but compared to other makes (Kia, Subaru, Toyota, Hyundai, etc) it's very tiny and you're going to have screen envy right off the bat much less 5 years from now. Also ventilated seats, spare tire...
Very informative video. It is definitely on the short list for my next car. I test drove a 2024 model last year and really enjoyed the ride. Is there anything other 2025 small SUV hybrid I should consider? Thanks
Toyota RAV4 or Hyundai Tucson perhaps?
Seems like is room in rear cargo area on the right side for Honda to place a vertical spare tire behind a simple cover.
I wish you had shown how far and how fast it would go in pure EV mode...
How you open the tailgate window?
they need an elite version with a head up display. i won't buy one until that happens
A great vehicle, which I'll probably buy. But there are things I wish it had that it doesn't:
* fog lights
* panoramic moon roof
* heated rear seats
* more interior color options. The Sport Touring comes in 8 exterior colors, and 5 of them have only one interior color option, black. Would like to see tan or anything other than black, for people who live in warm, sunny climates or just prefer a lighter interior.
Honda could have added a few of these to the 2024 or 2025 model. Most competing products, like the Rav4, add new features to each new model year in between major revisions. For the CR-V, the current version is in its 3rd model year and there are no new features compared to the 2023 Sport Touring.
Lastly. I don't care for the orange stitching. Orange is not a neutral color. The orange stitching IMHO clashes with the non-neutral exterior colors, like blue and red. It's okay with the more neutral colors like black and white. I know a lot of people like it, and that's great. But it's not for everyone, yet Honda forces everyone who wants the hybrid version of the CR-V to have orange stitching in the interior.
But these issues are minor. The Sport Touring is still a great car with a solid, long-lasting engine, it gets good mileage, it looks good, and does its job well.
Thanks for the review, you know your stuff and explain things very clearly.
How you set the garage opener?
No difference compared to the 2023 CRV Sport Touring which I own and I love. Just that the engine revvews a lot while climbing step hills although it could speed up or maintains the speed.
Will this vehicle accommodate three car seats in the back seats?
if you have 3 babies, bless you. Find a larger vehicle!
Still no flood lights ….. ☹️
No spare tire, noisy, expensive, not much power, only one year of service/ one oil change, higher interest rate, hard to find without dealer installed addons. Fake dual exhaust.
All in all I like the CRV yet there are things I would change and don't understand Honda logic behind a port hole sized roof light which doesn't open all the way compared to moon roofs on the competition. The lost in the dark "black holes" in each wheel well. So boring just put a steel wheel there and let people choose their own after market wheels.
Sir theirs a Pilot hybrid?
Does it come with a spare? No spare is the only reason I didn't buy a 2024.
No spare but comes with a tire repair kit to get you to a station
Unfortunately not
debating if I have to buy this or the
2025 Lexus NX250 Premium….. please help
I bought a new crv hybrid and its driver side mirror is shaking badly.. regretting it now
I recently bought a 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring, and Honda claims this is a top-of-the-line model. I believe this is not the case.
It does not have a dash cam and no fog light. The funny thing is that the dealer didn't even offer to install the camera. They recommended installing an aftermarket Dashcam and a Fog Light.
Nice car, no doubt.
Top-of-the-line model: Price-wise, YES, but not technology-wise. It lacks the main feature people want these days, specifically a dashcam.
Interior is jurassic compared to the new hyundai santa fe or tucson
but reliable unlike the sante fe and tucson!
I think the Toyota RAV4 still has a spare tire!
Can't tell this from 2024 model year....
what's the difference between this one and 2024 sport touring hybrid?
Only higher price😂
Dual horns instead of the single high tone clown horn on the 23s & 24s. And the silver paint color change. 😻🚙💙
its actually cheaper somehow from where I live. they should have integrated the ventilated seats and rear heated seats but yea I guess we shall see the 2026 model
これを日本で売ってほしい。
New car prices are out of control. I'm done paying ridiculous amounts of money for new cars. However, I'm THRILLED with my new 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS. And I didn't even get the RS because it's $5000.00 more. Thank you very much!
I'll wait for the plugin version to come out.
Between this model and the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid that you drove last week, which one do you find more refined and smooth overall, and quieter under hard acceleration?
Based on your questions, I would give the nod to the Santa Fe overall. The CR-V is quiet on the road, but the Santa Fe has a more modern interior and feel.
@AkshatKalra-xc4cv no, it’s 33,950
Honda is more.. $35,700 up to $42,000
Is Honda losing its vision? A die hard owner of more than 20 years, I am finding Honda offering less for more every model year. My current 2018 EX-L with 65,000 has basically everything the 2025 does, though 7 years older. The Toyota copy, being let’s just shove a radio screen on top of the dash is very disappointing, it looks out of place and just cheap. The only plus or improvement is the Michelin tires, versus the Good Year needs replacing at 19,000 junkyard they had in the past. Though I was in the market to trade my 2018 until I watched this then taking a trip to the dealer. C’mon Honda! Hyundai, Mazda, Kia, and Toyota has caught up and starting to leave you in the dust. In closing, my 2018 non hybrid gas averages 32mpg.
四万美元的车连个通风座椅和360全景影像都没,给我个买他的理由
Show me the 2025 hybrid odyssey please, I have a 2010 crv, I want more room and better mpg
I'm not sure how soon I will be able to, but I will as soon as one is available.
That tacky sticker on the back door
2024 Lincoln navigator black label L black colour please made the detail video like 25 minutes please sir
It’s very good, but for $4k more I’d buy the new Toyota Crown Signia Xle.
Weird design, they ruined this model for good. The front looks like a Donkey Head. Not impressive.
It’s overpriced and lacks features and available options found on cars of its price and less.
Yup you’re better off buying a Hyundai sonata or Tucson hybrid, both limited which has all the features Honda does with 360 cam, blind spot camera, as well as all heated and ventilates states with heads up display on the windshield
None of those cars last as long as a Honda
Try to resell those cheap brands; there is a reason why you see Toyota or Hondas everywhere; Toyota and Honda are always sensible buy to Hyundai or Kia
but not as reliable as the Honda!
@@gosman949 not recently. Even new Hondas has been unreliable. Newer Hyundai models are far more reliable than their previous vehicles which is far better improvement and is improving. It is also a perfect car with safe tech for younger people.
How come cr-v never has a pocket behind the driver seat? My $25k Chevy Cruz has pockets on both sides!
Why do they change the year if they dont add literally anything!!??
Lazy and just so they can jack up the price. Even Toyota has been doing that with rav4 prime and rav4 hybrid since 2020. Hell I’d say the same thing with Camry but it at least got a a front redesign. Just waiting for rav4 redesign. I bet it will probably have the hammer head design and Toyota will just call it a day with no change to their interior.
Probably because they're selling very well.
I didn't buy it in 2023 because I half-expected Honda to add some of the missing features in the 2024 or 2025 model years, features like heated rear seats, fog lights, or a non-black interior color option, like beige. (Currently, 5 of the 8 exterior color choices have only one interior color choice - black, with orange stitching. In my view, every exterior color choice should have two interior color options, either black and gray or black and beige, because not everyone likes a super dark interior.).
@@rc2257 RC- stop repeating yourself.
I drove it. Loved it . Hated the interior, all black and boring. Plus no ventilated seats. Sadly, Both are deal breakers for me. Please give us ventilation options and interior color options😊
I bought a 2011 CR-V in 2013 and only had 18,000 miles - it was a Oklahoma State fleet vehicle which means not a lot of whistles and bells. Test drove a 2025 CR-V Hybrid Sport and got massive brain overload with all the gadgets & technology. Do we need an adjustable tailgate height? Most likely it is going to be put in max height and there is it will stay till Jesus comes back. I miss not having the dimmer switch on the floor board and Wing Windows.
Do you have any information about the spare tire in Honda CRV hybrid models?
Thanks for a review without all the hype. I just started looking for a new car and a CRV is on my short list. After 34 years of owning many German and Italians cars, i may switch back to Honda. I just need something thats quiet, comfortable and fits my three dogs.😂
If they just include a spare tire it’ll be golden!
Is it ever sunny where you live?? My God 🤣
LOL Yes, just give it some time. It will be sunny and HOT everyday in the near future.
So no changes since 2023.
The 23 was governed to 85 miles per hour. Can you imagine that????
@@bryb2644What does this mean?
@@davoncci the top speed of the car was limited to 85 Mph in the 23 model, for 2024 the speed is limited to 111 Mph.
85 seems really slow, I wonder why Honda made that decision.
@@bryb2644 Hah, dunno where you got that but completely untrue.
@@thelucasstorm I thought I remember reading that when I was looking g at differences between the two model years. I have to say after a quick google search that you are right.
