    This is a disproportionately large coastal wave that can sometimes appear in a wave without warning

    The lady was very lucky that she was not taken to sea by the waves. Don´t go close to the water Please. Some people have died there

    It is one of if not the most dangerous beaches on Iceland. People gave been drowned by 'sneaky waves,' and personally if they don't understand the danger - are they really intelligent enough to be allowed out if their homes.

      How would they know unless they research the area. Locals will know visitors won't. I have never heard of a sneak wave until today.

      @@sandjune2753 Well perhaps they need to go back to school and learn to read. There are warning signs! But of course they know better. Death really is for ever - even for idiots who think they can out run a wave!
