Hey Nigel i got a question for ya! i'm trying to make a remix for "phendrana drifts" from metroid prime with more of a vein in the M83 side of synthwave, so far i'm pulling influences from the track "oblivion" since they both have the same BPM but having trouble getting a drum section that works, it typically sounds like two tracks played parallel any ideas how to solve this?
Idk if you're still active but I've been looking into your vids and FL Studio which edition do you have? Is it producer or a higher one? And is the $100 worth it?
I get a really annoying volume spike right at the beginning when played through the piano roll. I used the presets which work fine except for 'The Encounter Brut 2' preset which has the same irritating volume spike. Does anyone else have a similar issue and solution?
hey dude, I use your tutorials and things are working out, but I am still learning the notes and stuff. I only have a question, how can I do a similar style to dance with the dead if you know how to ?
this might be a noobie question, but while making the melodies i cant help but hear that using piano roll, during the attack of the note, the rise from all the bass, it gives a precussive sound due to this rise, and during your melodies, i couldnt help but hear that there was no attack, but a continuation, almost like you used a stutter effect, what am i doing wrong to not achieve this effect.
Hello, my dude. I don't know if you've already discovered this, but after much knob-turning and experimenting, I found out that the way to achieve that effect is to turn the "phase" knob next to "Timbre" all the way to the right. Hope I helped you.

Amazing video, I've been trying to create this sound for 2 years! I bought IL Harmless because of this video...I use cubase 6.5, I managed to recreate this sound but it keeps crashing cubase :(
Just getting started with FL studio. I followed the tutorial but your sound is considerably faster than mine. I changed time signature to fit more notes in, but how do I get the notes to play faster without messing with the BPM?
Zoom right in and make your note lengths short enough that you can fit 32 of them per bar, but then program them with gaps between just like a regular 16ths. Alternatively just fill all 16 steps on the step editor and then open the piano roll and shorten every note. (Highlight all, hold ALT and drag to the left is one method).
The short notes are playing 16ths, but have the length of 32nds. i.e. if you zoomed in and placed them right next to each other, you could fit in 32 per bar.
